The Indian boarding school policy made it law after forcing natives off their land onto reservations. But they don’t teach about those things or the trail of broken treaties that the government made with Native tribes that is still been done to this day. Sad that people want to run from our past instead of just grappling with it and learning from it.

Textbooks and curriculum is absolutely huge business for companies in conjunction with school districts and universities. Companies literally place bids for the privilege to have their textbooks used in schools districts because they know the power of controlling information. A lot of these books are rife with inaccuracies about what really happened because they want it that way.

White people see BIPOC talking about the racism and discrimination they face and think they are bringing it up to make them feel horrible for them being white, when all we are trying to do is get you to understand that, not only should people not (have been) be treated this way, BUT that you should feel an urge to want to make sure that no one is treated like lesser than human. Its not about making YOU personally feel bad, but to attempt to invoke some emotion to want to cause a change and to stand w those people to help bring about said change. It has the conservatives three scariest words all tied together. Think of that first word for instance. Could you imagine our country full of people who began learning to think critically say in the eighth grade. Conservatives would hold only about two seats in Congress both from Mississippi😂😂😂
