So close to what I need... If only the inputs and outputs could be switched to instrument level, effects loops could be created, and the loops manipulated in series/parellel in the electronic patch bay... I know the converters would add significant cost, but I would be willing to pay for it... 💥
Informative review! Looks versatile and I love the visual feedback from the front interface, however, I found out the drivers don't currently support 5.1 and 7.1 surround in Windows WDM like Focusrite does.
Motu 828es way better and cheaper. Low latency and top notch preamps..for The Price you pay for Arturia is really the name. They aren't known for top quality preamps but more for their software and keyboards
@@SpyderBlackOfficial appreciate it. I was hearing a lot of good things about MOTU and I’m looking at some 500 chassis too. Pretty much I’m trying to move to an interface that will last me awhile (currently using Presonus audiobox itwo).
@@SpyderBlackOfficial this isn’t a preamp interface though, so not relevant. and the 828 has less than half the amount of analog inputs, so not exactly better for someone who needs lots of I/O and doesn’t need pres... I have a Motu Ultralite; which is great interface but I’d love to have the 16rig to handle all my synths and groove boxes. Nothing else has the amount of line level I/O in this price range. .
The Presonus Quantum has 8 mic pre-amps, 2 headphone outputs with separate mixes/vol, lower latency, expansion up to 96 channels and is $300 less (on Sweetwater). This doesn't seem to really move the needle in my view.
The quantum has 2x less analog inputs, no dsp so you don't get the routing flexibility, not nearly the same functionality regarding midi... and that's juste from what I remember about the quantum. If you have a bunch of synths the 16rig is amazing
Reviewer’s fault . 8 mics interface and 16 analog input are different purpose. This Arturia for a synth lover with bunch of hardware. Plus it a mixer and standalone.
I have 1824c and wanted to expand for more synth. Considered Quantum, but 16 inputs it’s a huge difference….. and I can keep 1824c providing more they ADAT.
Audiofuse serie is already great, but it's a bit curious to have only TRS jack on the back , most hardware synth dont have trs jack , i already having some of there XLR audiofuse pre it sound marvelous on my mic drumming and are able to work with my guitar and synth with jack or xlr , im also confuse with the ss sabre for the back and cirrus logic converter for the front, what is the logical issue of this ?
i use a motu 828es with the arturia 8pre and the preamps of the 8pre are on par with the motu. if you need more inputs, the 16rig may be the better choice. but both interfaces are outstanding, for what they deliver.
I bought this interface and my 16rig is defective. It took Arturia almost 3 months to understand the issue and finally decide my unit was defective. Now they want to repair it so I'll be without an interface for a month more than likely... Really disappointing, but wanted to post here so other folks stayed away from this interface. Get an RME interface.
Great video Mike! Your cover the product in detail but not overwhelming!
This might be the perfect addition to my Audiofuse Studio for additional I/O.
I've had it a while now. I ordered it right after commenting here.
How's it going for you?
Hi. You mentioned how most everything with this unit is good, but the most important thing. The Sound?
Thanks for the video. But: How did you get the interface not knowing the price please?

Thank you for the review.
Arturia AudioFuse 16Rig or Motu 828 (2024)?
And I'm actually looking for a new interface 😊

How are the converters? I haven’t seen a review that talks about that.

Quantum is a Thunderbolt 2 interface and unfortunately thunderbolt 4 implementations on pc are not backwards compatible with TB2.

Hi!!! Is this better than an antelope one?

Please can anyone measure the latency on 96/128?
Motu 828es looks like a better option especially since it's cheaper and are known for top quality preamps

Hey!
if it had avb and thunderbolt I would grab it in a sec

Please, stop praising pieces of equipment I cannot afford! 😂👍
Great interface! Strange review, just reading spec, no interesting info.
Still specs worst than apogee's symphony mk2 from 2016 smh .... all these years and no one still is close
lmao apogee symphony is a 5k interface. your volkwagen also wont come close to a ferrari because they are not even in the same class.
🙂👍
Good connectivity but from the software features it looks like a poor man's RME interface.
no thunderbolt....no thanks
