From blue suburban to Blue suburban with a white picket fence! This house has been so useful during gameplay, almost no starter-ish houses have this many rooms!!
yeah, it's great to have a starter home that you can then use as a family home without having to like physically expand the house out/add a whole ass extra floor great starter to use to start playing w growing together so you can have your sims have kids without having to worry about the wild cost of adding rooms to your build
My favorite was when she worked on Snowy Escape and after the pack came out made a video where she talked about how she was going to renovate the worst build in the pack and it was her own build. Lol

You've been desperate to renovate these builds without EA restrictions since you started the builds, haven't you hun? Let's face it, this was cathartic. I would love to see you do another build like this, with a basic budget, but with no restrictions. I love the new stuff. I got the expansion just for the new stuff. I don't usually play with families and kids, but this has moved me to try more with families. I have a young child and a 3 year old of my own. I suffer enough 😆 Love and hugs from Sussex, England.
She's like oh because I didn't get to build and get out my full potential let me dedicate a video of me renovating and proving that she is a good builder😂❤
This house is wonderful for someone like me who doesn't love building. Moved in my first infant-having family, they had additional twins almost immediately, and I didn't have to worry about making my own rooms until their fourth kid. A gift
Don’t understand why you always limit yourself with a budget 😩 especially for something like this. Or packs, even. Would be so much fun to see simsie unlimited…
@@MelissaB724 I know but it's makes her interior really repetitive and she's so talented , itd be great to see her step outside the basegame and one pack category for every single build

I’m currently using this house for my legacy heir but I just furnished it my self with all the clutter and things I’ve collected. I love that we’re getting more homes built by other simmers. Also love that Kayla is renovating her own build ❤️
I have loved playing in this house the last few days! It was so fun to decorate and the space is so great - we had the Michaelsons come to stay for a few nights and it was so fun to push the furniture back to make space for sleeping bags in the living room >< so much fun! I wanted a slightly brighter blue for the walls which looks so nice with the new sofa in brown and other brown furniture....!!!
I was actually really hoping you were going to do this. I was curious what you would change now that it’s been almost a year and that you have cheats. Love this!
simsie talking about auto alt placing reminds me of the times when she (and many influenced by her simmers like me) would alt place & slightly rotatae objects like shower-bathtub combo, dressers to make it look more lived in 😭 all of our showers rotate as we use them, right?
I love the starter homes in this world. I struggle finding a decent size starter, or one that looks nice on the outside without spending hours scrolling the gallery. So this world in general is a game changer for me.
This is the most useful starter I've seen, if you're still worried! There are basically no other starters that have more than 2 bedrooms. I love it and it's now my go-to for families.
Love that house. It amazes me how you were able to build a house with the small amount of money but yet have so many bedrooms. Your skills are astounding.
Ok that tag about the getting rich from puzzles… I saw on one of James’ recent videos that you could sell the puzzles you make at the rec center and I immediately thought of Stanley 😅
NBD, just me, a california plants nerd, casually losing my shit at 9:45 where the California Poppy (the state flower) gets a shoutout as the best flowers in the new debug. They really are beautiful, and look like that irl!
My current sim household has moved to this lot and I love it! I swapped the basic furniture with what my sim already had (including upgraded stuff) and I placed the new upright piano in livingroom (left side from the tv) and aahhh
I honestly love how much effort you put into all of your videos! They are so amusing and I love to see you posting more about the new pack and base game updates, it makes me really excited for it! I have bought growing together and my sims have just had a baby so I cant wait to raise an infant and all of the new things included with the pack!
I would LOVE one more of these. Same house, no moving the walls, infinite budget! I would just love to see your ideal house because I tend to go overboard on clutter and would love to see how far you take it when given no restraints!
LOVE videos like this! There are so many constraints for official builds and I love whenever creators show us what they would have done without those limits! ❤❤
It was cool seeing you renovate the lot my sims currently live in! I've done a bit of renovating to it to make it a little bit bigger, and added a small pool and stuff outside.
My new legacy family is living in your starter house. It's lovely to play in. I did turn the nursery downstairs into an office though, now I just keep the infants upstairs at all times lol.
I did immediately move into this house and renovate it but the house was already so easy to build on to that I wasn't stressed about it like I usually am. I'm not a builder, I'm a decorator. When I use her builds in my games it's always so easy to work with and build on to if I need to.
I love that this starter had 4 bedrooms and gave me liberty to personalize the space so quickly. It is quickly becoming my favorite lot to start in because I get a little bored with only 1-2 Sims at a time.
Oddly enough, the thing I'm most pleased with in the new pack is the "science baby" ability. Now my main household matriarch can continue to have children, even though her spouse is now a ghost. Without having to cheat on him, as they're still married.
My only criticism is that you think the dinosaur rug and bed are too much dinosaurs. There can never be enough dinosaurs. Otherwise, though, I love the build! You did a really good job upgrading your work without being too critical of yourself, which is always a good thing to practice!
I could see the no move objects for the "official" builds because if a general Sims player who has no idea about cheats or whatever goes to upgrade the fridge that's placed slightly differently, they wouldn't be able to put it back in that same exact spot. But I love seeing how you changed it up after the fact!
i loved this house when i loaded into San Sequoia! i renovated it a little, making the nursery downstairs into a spare bed that the grandparents used. i also had an infant upstairs with lots of toddler stuff just in case. it was really fun to play with, though!
I’ve been playing in this build with my six infants! I have two cribs in each downstairs bedroom and a travel crib in the living room - it’s worked well, they never sleep all at once anyway 😂
I am looking forward to a reno of the rec center because it is very functional as is but I really want to see what Kayla can do with it without the rectrictions. ^^
love this! Im actually currently renovating this for my generation family to move into- they have more simoleons so I expanded it, upgraded things, and added in a yard
I've been waiting for you to do this Kayla!! I just renovated this house yesterday for my GT family. I really enjoyed seeing hearing what you had wanted to do. I'm totally going to adjust that master bedroom area when the family has more money. That bedroom is so small, but I was waiting to see what you originally envisioned before I adjusted too much. I love your in game builds!
Simsie!!! You doing this is ICONIC ❤ and I haddddd to buy the pack just because…. Not to mention the other creators who were involved! Y’all did that!!! Wishing you many more blessings 🎉
Love the vid and also you adding it to the gallery for ppl that don‘t have that pack. I do think that the reason those homes are so bare bones and sometimes even terrible is to give the player incentive to really fix up their home. A lot of the fun of the game is to make something that‘s pretty bare bones and dry into something stunning. And that‘s also the charm of it. It‘s also why I think they wouldn‘t let you use any cheats or alt placement. It should feel like a home ready to be flipped. Not like a already decent looking build. Although I gotta say that your builds always look great! Even with so much restriction.
This is where my sims live!!!! I’ve only renovated it to have that downstairs baby room as a guest room so I made it bigger 💓 this is a beautiful house Kayla! We opened the game for the first time with GT and me and my little sister go “THATS KAYLA’S HOUSE!!”💙💙💙💙

I haven’t gone to your other house that you made yet, but the starter house you made for this pack is my favorite house so far. a lot of the larger houses that have a crap ton of room They’re honestly tedious to navigate think the starter house you have is the perfect size. It’s super cute doesn’t take much to make it perfect. I’m working on upgrading the kitchen right now after that I’m probably going to fence in the backyard and add the treehouse so that when my baby gets older, she’ll have the treehouse to play with and so that the dog has a fenced in area I know they come back, but just a fence feels more realistic to me, maybe some gardening stuff back there too if I have room, but the bedrooms are perfectly functional as they are, may be the parents deserve to treat themselves though…. That master bedroom is a bit bare
This house is where I started my new family. I love this version too. It's hard when you can't use cheats to build. I make sure everything is available to look at when I build so I can use it if I want.
can you try and use a warm toned wood with your blue and white houses? you always make the house blue white and gaunt-y; pale grey and gloomy, cool toned light woods. Growing Together came out with beautiful lighter toned woods like peanut colors and would match your blue obsession. it's just grazy that you literally not only use blue every time, but you pair grey gloomy colors with all the blue. it's not warm and inviting.
Not sure if it was intentional, but as a heads up, the windows and trims are a mix of the white and the off-white (cream) on the lot. So the fences are cream but the window trims are white. Probably due to the swatch of that foundation you used! If you swap the foundation to the color swatch of the white columns to match the wood and swap the fence to white, it matches back up! Can't remember if the stairs were white or off-white. Just mentioning it! I still love the build and you did an awesome job!
In the last video I commented about my Sim family of two adults, a kid, toddler twins and triplet babies. This is the house they live. Older sister lives on the room downstairs and has a bit of toys in there. The twins are on the square room upstairs and the triplets on the last one. But they actually have a treehouse outside. I didn't really changed almost anything from the house outside these three rooms, just rotated the shower upstairs to have place for a potty and moved the sofa, chair and tv a bit more close to the door to be able to fit a big table on the kitchen and I also put a bookshelf right by the stairs
