This house has been so useful during gameplay, almost no starter-ish houses have this many rooms!!
yeah, it's great to have a starter home that you can then use as a family home without having to like physically expand the house out/add a whole ass extra floor
great starter to use to start playing w growing together so you can have your sims have kids without having to worry about the wild cost of adding rooms to your build

My favorite was when she worked on Snowy Escape and after the pack came out made a video where she talked about how she was going to renovate the worst build in the pack and it was her own build. Lol
As someone who renovated all the lots already: simsie’s lot were my favorite to do because they’re already so good

You've been desperate to renovate these builds without EA restrictions since you started the builds, haven't you hun? Let's face it, this was cathartic. I would love to see you do another build like this, with a basic budget, but with no restrictions. I love the new stuff. I got the expansion just for the new stuff. I don't usually play with families and kids, but this has moved me to try more with families. I have a young child and a 3 year old of my own. I suffer enough 😆 Love and hugs from Sussex, England.

This house is wonderful for someone like me who doesn't love building. Moved in my first infant-having family, they had additional twins almost immediately, and I didn't have to worry about making my own rooms until their fourth kid. A gift
Don’t understand why you always limit yourself with a budget 😩 especially for something like this. Or packs, even. Would be so much fun to see simsie unlimited…

I’m currently using this house for my legacy heir but I just furnished it my self with all the clutter and things I’ve collected. I love that we’re getting more homes built by other simmers. Also love that Kayla is renovating her own build ❤️

NBD, just me, a california plants nerd, casually losing my shit at 9:45 where the California Poppy (the state flower) gets a shoutout as the best flowers in the new debug. They really are beautiful, and look like that irl!

Oddly enough, the thing I'm most pleased with in the new pack is the "science baby" ability. Now my main household matriarch can continue to have children, even though her spouse is now a ghost. Without having to cheat on him, as they're still married.

My current sim household has moved to this lot and I love it! I swapped the basic furniture with what my sim already had (including upgraded stuff) and I placed the new upright piano in livingroom (left side from the tv) and aahhh
I honestly love how much effort you put into all of your videos! They are so amusing and I love to see you posting more about the new pack and base game updates, it makes me really excited for it! I have bought growing together and my sims have just had a baby so I cant wait to raise an infant and all of the new things included with the pack!
I would LOVE one more of these. Same house, no moving the walls, infinite budget! I would just love to see your ideal house because I tend to go overboard on clutter and would love to see how far you take it when given no restraints!

It was cool seeing you renovate the lot my sims currently live in! I've done a bit of renovating to it to make it a little bit bigger, and added a small pool and stuff outside.

I did immediately move into this house and renovate it but the house was already so easy to build on to that I wasn't stressed about it like I usually am. I'm not a builder, I'm a decorator. When I use her builds in my games it's always so easy to work with and build on to if I need to.
I’ve been playing in this build with my six infants! I have two cribs in each downstairs bedroom and a travel crib in the living room - it’s worked well, they never sleep all at once anyway 😂
I am looking forward to a reno of the rec center because it is very functional as is but I really want to see what Kayla can do with it without the rectrictions. ^^
My only criticism is that you think the dinosaur rug and bed are too much dinosaurs. There can never be enough dinosaurs. Otherwise, though, I love the build! You did a really good job upgrading your work without being too critical of yourself, which is always a good thing to practice!
My guess on the move objects is it makes it hard for people who don't use cheats (or know how) to edit homes as they play.

I personally love this house this Is my go to starter home with my families. Love saving the money and renovating it slowly but still keeping the homey vibe
can you try and use a warm toned wood with your blue and white houses? you always make the house blue white and gaunt-y; pale grey and gloomy, cool toned light woods. Growing Together came out with beautiful lighter toned woods like peanut colors and would match your blue obsession. it's just grazy that you literally not only use blue every time, but you pair grey gloomy colors with all the blue. it's not warm and inviting.
Not sure if it was intentional, but as a heads up, the windows and trims are a mix of the white and the off-white (cream) on the lot. So the fences are cream but the window trims are white. Probably due to the swatch of that foundation you used! If you swap the foundation to the color swatch of the white columns to match the wood and swap the fence to white, it matches back up! Can't remember if the stairs were white or off-white.
Just mentioning it! I still love the build and you did an awesome job!
My 2nd gen moved into this house and I renovated it. I mean like wrap around porch, stairs are different as well as layout, exterior color is bright orange (it’s my orange generation of the color legacy lol).

In the last video I commented about my Sim family of two adults, a kid, toddler twins and triplet babies.
This is the house they live.
Older sister lives on the room downstairs and has a bit of toys in there. The twins are on the square room upstairs and the triplets on the last one.
But they actually have a treehouse outside.
I didn't really changed almost anything from the house outside these three rooms, just rotated the shower upstairs to have place for a potty and moved the sofa, chair and tv a bit more close to the door to be able to fit a big table on the kitchen and I also put a bookshelf right by the stairs
I am currently playing this house. It was really nice as a starter that I could build on! starting a single mom generation family on this lot!

I just wish someone of the lots were bigger or a little more variety in size. Most seem to be around 20 x 30.
Yeah, variety in size would be nice. 12 lots and over half of them are 30x20. You're kicking out a premade if you want the bigger lots, and out of luck if you want smaller!
I think one of the issues I get with builds with move objects is that sometimes it makes some of the stuff unable to be used. Houses look so much better with move objects but I hate when I play and things are in the way 😂

TV trays for sims, carry in inventory and use when they use a seat without a table/desk: couch, chair, bed, etc.
TV Tray: Think of a foldable chair BUT it's a small table to place ur plate and a drink onto.

It's kinda weird they didn't allow you to use moveobjects and alt-placement. I remember quite a few TS3 basegame builds that utilized it so it's weird they went backwards in what techniques they allow others to use.
This house is where I started my new family. I love this version too. It's hard when you can't use cheats to build. I make sure everything is available to look at when I build so I can use it if I want.

Am I the only one who noticed that from the original and upgraded version there is no toddler potty? But of course I immediately moved a family into this house and it’s wonderful!😂
I have an idea for a challenge to do…
So, basically there are two sims that are teens, and the two hate eachother. So, one sim decides to lock the other sim in a room with a bed, shower, and fridge. The sim can’t go to school, and has to survive in that room until that sim is a young adult.
Kayla!! I need some tips!! I’ve been playing the sims for well over 12 years now and have always pretty much focused on gameplay. I love furnishing and decorating but I can’t for the life of me build a shell of a house that I actually like😅I watch speed builds literally all the time but I really just need some tips on how to make something I enjoy and enjoy playing in. I always start with a basic square and then add on from there but it always looks kinda stupid in my opinion.
As soon as I got the pack I created a new family and when I moved them to this house made by lilsimsie the first thing I did was alt place things and use the moveobjects cheat. I loved the house but with moveobjects it just felt more lilsimsie-ish if that makes sense(?

I love how you did the extra rooms because when I start out with a family I always dont have enough money for a big enough house and I have to move into the blank lots and then cheat for the extra money its so annoyingggg

I was playing the sims and when i realized that the house my sims live in is one of the houses you built
I put a massive extension on the side 😂 mccc meant things got a little out of hand thanks to risky woohoo and a bigger household. I had to make room for 9 kids, two parents and a cat. The house is now 6 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms.
Personally I'm not a big fan of side yards, if I were to re-do this house I'd prob do another extension on the side where the yard is to match the left side, idk what I'd make it but anyway, then just put a small yard in the back.

Honestly, I'm sure they had their reasons, but it's pretty bold for them to ask for little to no objects and no placement cheats, something that has never made my laptop run the game slower, but do nothing about insane lag that's been only getting worse since Seasons that only opening the menu constantly can somehow help with (and sometimes it does nothing and you must restart).
i was just doing the 1st gen of the not so berry challenge and while trying to get her logic skill up with a telescope, she got hit by a meteor im dying 😭
I think you should renovate it again with no spend limit and see what happens :D
