Is that right at 1:26 that you can also draw a purple 2-shape? Am I allowed to use any color than as a 2-shape? This would not make sense putting a 6 there.

The rules for this game say "you may always draw a 2X1 shape in any color instead of the shape shown on a card. Colors that roll 6 can only be used as 2X1 shapes that turn." the reason you would choose the 6 over another number is simply to get that ability.
