Questions: Why did you choose Sowa Rigpa medical school? Did you have any Tibetan medics in your family? Has being a medic been your dream since childhood? Have you ever considered studying Western medicine? Would classes in the mortuary with corpses be too much of a challenge for you? I was thinking about it and it limited me in deciding to study medicine.
Do you already know how to diagnose a pulse? Is it true that the sex of the baby can be determined from the pulse of a pregnant woman? Is iridology/iris diagnostics used in Tibetan medicine? Is moxa or bloodletting a more popular procedure? Is acupuncture only performed with a gold needle? Is the "golden needle" just the name of a procedure? Gold is a heavy and soft metal, I saw acupuncture needles, but they were needles of doctors from Mongolia, they were silver or silver-plated.

When will you have your final exam? One with real patients, a time limit and what percentage of accurate diagnoses you have to make?
My final exam is in October and I still need to go internship and then therapy workshops so Not yet😄…
Do you already know all the bloodletting points? Are such procedures often used? Are special Tibetan herbs drunk before bloodletting?
Yes we have been taught all the blood letting points and yes it’s not used very often but mostly to Tibetans as they are familiar with it and yes decoctions are given before the procedure to separate the blood from impurities!
