Hopefully Psyonix upgrades replays to work a bit better for Rumble mode - showing power-ups and cooldowns would have made watching this much more enjoyable.
I contacted RL Support a few years ago to report this and after a long feud about them whining that I had bakkesmod installed, they said that replay indicators not showing in replays are "intentional" even though it was a thing until it bugged out in some update and never came back
Hahahah we have not gotten any QOL updates since epic bought them out, there’s 0 chance they will ever fix it. Future updates may completely break replays and they won’t fix that either.
I am so happy for S03 and Speedy, the two best Rumble players ever, have finally something to play for. This will bring them hopefully back to the Grind. They Could even team up with Elephant for a strong team.

Of course there has to be some sort of "slowing down" for Bronze-, Silver-Players etc. but there IS an actual volleyball map and mode, that works and just needs to be fully implemented in the game. But that would mean they have to ask TH-camrs for advice and we know how much they care about their playerbase.... Maybe the new tournaments are the start for a change

So they are hosting tournaments before they have a proper casting UI for rumble? It gets a little boring and incoherent when you can't see what the currently viewed player has or even what everyone has to be able to talk about possible plays they could do or what counters might be coming.
There were no news on whether the tournaments will be streamed and / or casted officially, unless players themselves will be streaming their runs ofc. Can't imagine the coverage of 7 massive tournaments in a weekend, to be honest.

@@edgeribble They'll never fix it. They haven't even fixed the issue with spikes just randomly dropping the ball right after activating them, which has been in there since launch.. and no, you can't press the stick in to deactivate them, like you can in the Spike Rush game mode, it's a bug.

What you should try is to convince them to change the rule that substitute players are not allowed. I can't come home in time for the beggining of day 1 so I can't play the whole tournament? That doesn't make any sense

I've been SSL in Rumble.. everything you've said is only true for low ranks.. High ranked rumble is like an art form, the way the power-ups can be used. Ways you can even fathom.. combined with the high level of game sense and control players have in normal modes.
I just don’t see a world where rumble mains actually win the tourney. Like rumble really doesn’t change 3s that much. Pros will just have to play slightly different with their 3rd man and they’ll probably dominate. Also there is 10 seconds before you get a power up, no hate to these players but I genuinely think pro teams can quite easily score on them within 10 seconds if they’re sweating especially now that kickoff strats are a thing
The rumble tournaments and esports World Cup are happening at the same time so many of the top pros won’t be able to play in the rumble even if they wanted to

Besides maybe the big 2/3 in ssa, na and eu teams will have no problems with competing against ssa.

I stopped playing it after they made it an extra mode cause it always makes my mmr too high. I get launched up to 1750 as a c1 and have a bad several games grinding my MMR back down to 1600 in normal cas. Just sit net and save the ball. I thought it was fun when I was in plat, but it's just easy anywhere else. Higher ranks just start redirecting it which means the goalie can do literally nothing but hope they miss. It's just so "solved" and there's nothing to improve upon or learn from it.
Probably the worst ssl gameplay I've ever seen in a while. Cant even defend a ball properly. Positioning is always so off. Just proves, rumble ranked is the worst shit in existence
Positioning in rumble ia different because the ball can be launched at 200kph at any moment. You also have to guard more possible shot options that are not possible in regular play.

Last year I beat retals + woody in rumble. My peak 2s and 3s ranks are low gc 1. I've also beaten othet rlcs pros in rumble.
