    Joshua 21:43-45, 43 Thus the LORD gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their fathers. And they took possession of it, and they settled there. 44 And the LORD gave them rest on every side just as he had sworn to their fathers. Not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the LORD had given all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.

      Your point about Joshua is meaningless, given Deuteronomy 30, and ESPECIALLY given Ezekiel 36, all of it, but specifically verses 22 and 32.
      It's a PERPETUAL promise, not a one time deal.
      Speaking of which, do we get to the promised land (HEAVEN) by our WORKS/DEEDS/OBEYING THE LAW...or by GRACE?
      This is why Galatians 3:18, then go back to 17 is extremely important. The promise has nothing to do with THE OLD COVENANT. Bottom line, there is no such thing as "Old Covenant Israel".
      The promise was given to Abraham with the only condition of circumcision. Nothing more.

      @dmichaud1099 If you think that I don't already know about your Jeremiah reference, I'm sorry, but I do. You need to see Ezekiel 36, and 37, specifically Ez 36:22, and 32. This is STILL FUTURE.
      And again, the promise has nothing to do with the Jews behavior at all.
      Galatians 3:18
      18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
      17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
      But again, Jeremiah 31 hasn't come yet...Why? Because Deu 29:4 and Romans 11:8 still stands for them. The blinders have not yet come off...except for a REMNANT.
      Not only that...when Jesus was on the planet, there was only TWO TRIBES in Israel.
      Ezekiel 36-37 is about ALL TWELVE TRIBES...which has to be there for there to be REVELATION CHAPTER 7...12000 from 12 tribes.
      Your 70 AD has only two tribes in Israel. The book of Revelation has 12 tribes in Israel.

      @@chapmaned24Ezekiel's prophecies were written while he was in captivity in Babylon (B.C. 595-574).
      He wrote during the captivity and cased to write some 30 years before Cyrus' decree.
      Ezekiel’s prophecy was fulfilled at Cyrus' command to restore Israel with city, temple, and sacrifice, after the captivity. it is not future but history accomplished.
      Concerning the so-called Lost Ten Tribes James says;
      James 1:1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. (ESV).
      That does not sound like they were lost to me. In the southern kingdom you had Judah and Benjamin
      who had returned from the captivity from Babylon.
      In Samaria you had the dispersed ten tribes who had returned from the prior captivity from Assyria.
      An example of this is from the woman at the well. in verse 11 of John chapter 4 we read: The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock.”
      Who owns the land of Israel? God is the owner, the Jews are but tenants. If you doubt this read the Parable of the vineyard in Matt. 21:33 to 46. There will never be another temple built in Jerusalem ever. The Jews crucified the Messiah and their city and temple was destroyed by God using the Romans to accomplish His will just as He did during both captivity. Jesus gave them 40 years to repent and then "70AD". God is not mocked and does not make covenants or promises without conditions. He is the Potter and we are the clay. You would do well and please the Lord by renouncing you beliefs in Dispensationalist/Pre-Mill false teachings.

      @bernardmichaud1099 sorry to burst your bubble, but there was only two tribes in Babylon captivity. The other ten tribes were in captivity elsewhere. However, you missed galatians 3:18, 17, again, for the 3rd time. As well as verses 22 and 32 of Ezekiel 36. Behavior of the Jews is irrelevant to your Deu reference.

    Dispensationalists like to categorise Old Testament covenants, in particular, into two categories: One, they will call conditional, and the other they will call unconditional. Naturally, they will pick for instance the covenant with Moses as a conditional covenant because of the stress of the law there, and then they will pick the covenant of Abraham and they will call it an unconditional covenant.
    When the Dispensationalist sees the so-called “unconditional” (which they are not) promises made to Abraham, concerning a specific plot of land to be given to Abraham’s offspring to possess forever they accuse Reformed Covenant Theology of implying that God has cast off Israel and replaced her with the Church, and that we are ignoring these “forever” promises, and turning them into a spiritual pseudo-promise so we can say they are fulfilled. To a Dispensationalist it is as simple as this: Abraham’s descendants haven’t possessed this land, so the fulfillment must still be expected in the future.
    However, this is unequivocally false. And of course the Dispensationalists use the Dispensational slur of “Replacement Theology” because they dont understand "Covenant Theology". Covenant Theology is in fact “Fulfilment Theology” - Scripture Itself declares that the promise of the land to Old Testament Israel was fulfilled by God:
    _“So the LORD gave Israel all the land which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they possessed it and lived in it. And the LORD gave them rest on every side, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers, and no one of all their enemies stood before them; the LORD gave all their enemies into their hand. Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.” (Joshua __21:43__-45)_
    _“So the descendants went in and possessed the land, and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hand, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they would. And they captured fortified cities and a rich land and took possession of houses full of all good things, cisterns already hewn, vineyards, olive orchards, and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled and became fat and delighted themselves in your great goodness."_ (Nehemiah 9:24-25).
    _“Blessed be the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant.”_ (1 Kings 8:56)
    Isaiah concludes his book with the promise of “new heavens” and a “new earth”_ (64:17, 66:22). The glorious restoration of Israel to their land is ultimately fulfilled in the eternal possession of the Heavenly Jerusalem, and the entire recreated, new heavens and earth by God’s people. And that possession and enjoyment of the land will endure forever. And redeemed Jews certainly will be enjoying that land along with the Church.
    See also 1 Kings 4:20-21 _“Judah and Israel were as many as the sand by the sea. They ate and drank and were happy. Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.”_
    The inspired author of 1 Kings unequivocally claims here that the promises concerning Abraham’s seed being as numerous as the sand of the sea, have been fulfilled. He sets forth the exact dimensions of the land promised in Gen. 15, as being now inhabited and ruled over by Solomon. Of course, later in 1 Kings 8:56, Solomon will actually declare that all the promises have been fulfilled.
    So clearly, God declares through inspired authors of Scripture, that the Israelites did indeed possess the land already and His promise was fulfilled to them to the greater Glory of His Name.

    I wonder why the promise only voiced for Isaac only, while Abraham had two sons, Ishmael as well. And the promise clearly says "to you and your seed". Should not the "seed" include both sons?

    • @karens3805
      @karens3805 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Ishmael was blessed and was the father of many sons as God promised Abraham, but Ishmael was not the ' chosen seed' in which the Messiah would come. Isaac was the son just as Jacob was chosen over Esau. The difference between Ishmael and Esau is that God actually hated the Esau seed because Esau openly rebelled against the inheritance. He disrespected it and took caananite wives. The seed was meant to be protected for the line of Messiah to be born into because the seed war is a huge part of Bible. Its the reason for the flood and the reason for separating the languages at the tower of babel because at babel they were doing the mixing of nephalim again. God started His own nation after babel with Abraham which was mostly created to protect the pure seed of His creation for the birth of His Son. This is why God insisted that Israel totally destroy certain communities completely...women and children also. Other conflicts between uncorrupted communities had different more humane rules of warfare. No killing of women and children. The Jews in Israel today are from the Edomites..Esau. Not promised the land..in fact they are an abomination and will be wiped out. 99% of them are not from Jacob and Paul tells us that after Jesus, those who have faith in the Son are Abraham's seed. Spiritual seed and it no longer matters from what nation, the physical seed was protected through Jewish nation, now its the spiritual seed that will be saved. There is no difference between Jew and gentile anymore. All Israel will be saved and living in that land when all who live there are believers!! This can't be the prophecied return because the prophecy specifically says that when that return occurs all will be of the faith...true seeds of Abraham. That's not this crew over there now. It's been a huge counterfeit deception, which Satan excels at.

      @@11bbqbob yes that's correct as my statement above relates. God kept His promises to Ishmael. They were different from the promises made in regards to the chosen seed of the bringing forth of the Messiah. Ishmael was not burdened with the covenant promises made by Abraham to God as his side of the deal. The truth is that Ishmael was given promises for " free"..The Son of the bondwoman, Hagar, was given freedom so to speak. Isaac..the chosen for the covenant was put in bondage in a way. Saint Paul tells us this. Truly this did occur with the descendants of Jacob..bondage in Egypt for hundreds of years before Moses. Then the covenant was again renewed with these descendants after escape from bondage . A covenant is promises made on both sides for one another, it can be broken if promises are not kept on one side. God kept His side , Israel failed by killing the promised seed. Esau was given some blessings by the words of his father Isaac, but God gave no promises to Esau at all. Esau actually was an enemy to the covenant..He had no respect for it..or faith in it . God says that He hated Esau.

      @@karens3805 As Hank points out, the land promise was fulfilled. Read Joshua 21:43-45. Spiritual Israel is scattered thru-out the earth. Eschatology texts point out a day of darkness, etc, and not that certain land will be possessed by believers. You take certain old testament texts in a wooden literal sense when some of them are to be understood as hyperbole. May I suggest you research and study from Dr Paul Copan who rightly discerns these texts.

      Forever? So when Paul states that 'the Jews are the enemies of mankind, and displeasing to God" (1 These 2:15), is that declaration forever? Or do you switch your hermeneutics so that it is temporary? When God spoke through the prophets countless times declaring His bill of divorce from Israel, was that forever, or temporary? When God stipulated a conditional covenant of faithful obedience by which Israel would have in the land, was that forever, or just until He changed His mind?
      Are Theodor Herzl, Judas Iscariot, Woody Allen, Henry Kissinger, Gloria Steinem, Leon Trotsky, Lazar Kaganovich, Henrik Yagoda and the rest of this esteemed tribe partakers in the land forever, or until they break the Law of Moses?

    A "tricky" thing occurred in Genesis 13... Abraham offers Lot first choice of lands and Lot chose the lands east of the Jordan because those lands were good for cattle. If Lot had chosen the west side, Abraham's land could have been east of the Jordan. Fast forward to the time of Moses just before Israel is set to cross the Jordan and Gad, Simeon and half of Manasseh also choose land on the east side of the Jordan for the same reason as Lot... It's good for cattle. The descendants of Lot via his daughters (Moabites and Ammonites) are still east of Jordan but Moses is told to leave them alone because he had given them the land as he did the descendants of Esau in Seir. But the Israelites DID take for possession the lands of Sihon and Og. The point being, Moses declared , "And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are
    meet for the war." We tend to think like Google Maps when the Lord of gave the kingdoms of others into the hand of His people and it may be more than a bit presumptuous to include lands of allied kingdoms to David and Solomon as there was no possession of the lands of those kings. The bottom line is that people probable err by assuming "Euphrates" is in the direction of Ur/Babylon/Shinar when "Euphrates" in the direction of the Hittites is more likely correct.

    Not so fast there Bible Answer Man. God is a cosmic racist!
    Galatians 3:18
    For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
    The promise was never conditioned on the behavior of the children of Isreal. It was never conditioned upon the Law of Moses. You mention Joshua. OK, so let's look at something that God said LONG BEFORE Joshua in Deuteronomy 30:1-7 there, answer man!
    Deuteronomy 30:1-7
    1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,
    2 And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
    3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
    4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
    5 And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
    6 And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
    7 And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
    Long before the children of Israel ever got to the promised land, God told them that at some point that they would get kicked out for disobedience as a curse. But God would bring them back...HELLO?
    Then you have Ezekiel 36, where God gives the Jews GRACE, by saying:
    22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
    32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

    • @BibleAnswerMan
      @BibleAnswerMan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @chapmaned24 - so Deuteronomy speaks of curses to those who are unfaithful to their covenant with Yahweh, Moses also speaks of blessings to those faithful to their covenant with Yahweh. The people were to choose the way of life. How does that make God a cosmic rapist?

    • @chapmaned24
      @chapmaned24 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BibleAnswerMan I didn't say rapist. I said racist. That's what you have said on the radio years ago. The point is, the proimse was not of the law, not dependent on the law. Not conditioned on the law. But while under the law, they get kicked out from time to time.
      Ezekiel 36:24
      24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
      Deuteronomy 30:4-5
      4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
      5 And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
      Abraham was NEVER TOLD that his seed would get 3 chances at this, and if they fail, they forfeit the land.
      Galatians 3:18
      For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
      That ONE PROMISE goes TWO WAYS, not just one way.
      Carnal
      Promised Land = Small piece of real estate in the middle east
      Promised SINGULAR SEED = Isaac
      The LAND goes to to seed of Isaac
      Spiritual
      Promised Land = Heaven (Eternal Life)
      Promised Seed = Jesus (Galations 3:16)
      Eternal Life goes to seed of Jesus
      Both are true, because both are the SAME PROMISE. The carnal tells the story of the spiritual. Neither can be voided, or terminated, or transferable. Neither is based on the LAW OF MOSES...if it were, YOU'D NEVER MAKE IT TO HEAVEN.
      So the Jews of the flesh get LAND, a perpetual promise.
      Christians, whether Jew/Gentile, get eternal life, a perpetual promise.
      Now, John, who wrote Revelation, is an apostle to the Jews, so Revelation is to the Jews, for the Jews, by an apostle to the Jews. That's why Ezekiel 36-37 is about the Jews coming back to Israel. They still got things to do. Prophesy about the Jews is NOT FINISHED.
      Joseph and his brothers is also prophetic about Jesus and the Jews. Keep that in mind.
      Also, keep in mind that EVERYONE on the planet is JUST AS DISOBEDIENT as the Jews are.
      But...see Deuteronomy 29:4 and contrast that with Romans 15:21. Then tell me that God is not a cosmic RACIST.

      @@chapmaned24 Your explanation: "Jews under law get the law,"(and ultimately the earth 🌎). And "Christian Jews and Christian gentiles get heaven" is exactly the so-called Dispensation positions Darby, Scofield, Ryrie and few others took that distinguished them from 1,500yrs of Church History.
      There are many that have argued that Christian Zionism of the 1800s predates Jewish Zionism in the 19th, 20th and 21st Century. I disagree. If you study the Talmud and Kabbalah(Zohar) you'll see that this kind of Darbian, Scofield, Ryrie Dispensationalisms are Christianized versions of the Oral Torah(Talmud)not the written Torah and Tanakh. The written Torah being the Law first 5 books of the Old Testament and entire Tanakh including The Law The Prophets and The Writings which line up perfectly fine with the New Testament, New Covenant and Christ! The confusing Futuristic Dispensationalisms were influenced by the Oral Torah(i.e.Talmud and Kabbalah or Cabala or Qabala however you want to say it). Darbyites were influenced by the latter.
      And that Oral Torah was a collection of heretical thought that included Magick!
      Why do you think this type of Dispensational thinking overlays with The Rosicrucisns, Masons and other Hermetic Order Of The Golden Dawn types?
