Thanks for the information. About 15 or 20 years ago I bought a pair of Mexican cowboy boots called Rudel. The calfskin leather was very durable and shined up really nice. You're right about cowboy boots made in Mexico and United States being of good quality.
Thank you for the feedback! I hate to see the decline of quality in boots.
I had no idea you were youtube. We need to talk boots. I will definitely stop by the shop and see if you can get my old boots straightened out. Scott in Kathleen
Yes sir! We do what we can! Need to post more often, trying to get all this figured out! Thanks for watching!
Live in South East Texas, lots of rain and humidity. Have horses and cows and spend a lot of time in the barn, pasture and climbing up and down on equipment. I normally buy boots in the $100 -$200 range. With the moisture they don’t seem to last more than a year. Would hate to spend $500 or more and have the same thing happen, is the higher price really that much better quality. I need boots for working not for stepping out on the town!
Absolutely! goes with "you get what you pay for". When I was on the ranch, I bough the cheapest boots I could get. Din't last long, because as you already know, shit happens. lol .... for me it was a huge change. I tried every brand out there. It all has to do with the quality of the material, the grain in the leather, etc. By this point, I have touched so many different boots, that I can tell where a boot was manufactured, simply by touching it. USA and Mexico boots are by far the best. Many manufacturers will tell you that their boots are leather, but don't go into detail on the quality of leather. lol
I have not tried your boots yet I should try them I like Lucchese boots.
The boots we sell aren't bad at all. They are not "custom", but for the price you can't beat it. I've yet to have a customer dissatisfied with their purchase. Give us a shot. We'd be happy to help in any way!
3 challenges i wish youtube cowboy boots vloggers address:
1- sizing when ordering online if you have no actual stores in your country.
2- difficulty finding narrow width boots for men (A & B width).
3- brands/retailers that do not offer shipping overseas.
Keep up the great videos 👍🏻
A giveaway idea might be a quality leather 1/2 or 3/4 insole with arch support
Great points! I’ll definitely be working on these topics now that you mention it. We were working on a sizing video.
@@MannyTheBootmaker looking forward to that 👍🏻🙏🏻
I’m looking forward to that also !!!
Great video, I’m 41 and I just bought my first pair of square to boots 2 years ago and got ariat composite work boots and they were expensive $250, what cowboy work boot would you recommend, I’m looking at the redwing Rio flex safety toe boot next I work 12 hrs on a forklift on and off and walking around don’t mind spending the money on a good work boot
I apologize it took this long to respond, Its hard to say, There are so many variables to take into consideration. You've mentioned a couple, but are you required to have safety toe? are you required to have slip resistant/oil resistant soles? Price range? Do you prefer pull on vs lace ups? We could easily have an hour chat over this lol
I look for price, style, size and comfort in a cowboy boot.
Do you think it’s wrong or inappropriate to wear the boots if you didn’t grow up working with horses or on a farm? I grew up in the south and am Mexican on my fathers side but I didn’t get any of that ranching culture growing up, despite it being all around, I’d love to have the experience I just don’t think it’s immediately accessible to me.
Not inappropriate at all!! People do it all the time. In my opinion my boots fit better than tennis shoes or dress shoes lol...
In out shop/store we get people from all walks of life and many are actually first time buyer. The reason for me putting these videos out is because people get sold on the idea that they are buying quality boot when in reality they are buying trash.
Wear boots and wear them proud! I’d be happy to hop on the phone with you and go over some options or you can send me an email. Manuel@RancherBoots.Com
