Tupac's music is spiritual! I named my son Makaveli in honour of the great Tupac Shakur. I'm from Africa, but Tupac has influenced me so much for all the good ways. What a legend!!
This happened back in 1991. "I get around" didnt come out till like 93. He had numerous videos before i get around. His first was "Trapped" and he also had "Brendas got a baby" and "If my Homie Calls"
the vibe interview is the most interesting 2pac interview. This is the "lost" interview. Its an very anfry 2pac when he talks about the biggie situation. But at the end he talks about his religious belief which could be very interesting for your mom!
I think for somethings you pause too soon. Maybe let your mom listen to the entire part and come to her own conclusion before giving background because, and not trying to be rude, but sometimes your explanations are wrong and they may influence her opinion on the matter
In the interview outside the courthouse he explains the girl-rape charge also i vibe interview please react also to life goes on, my block and untill the end of time songs

He got beat down for Jay walking ticket. The cops were giving him a hard time and asking what his name was. He said Tupac and they laughed asking what kind of name is that. Pac said just give me my ticket so I can be on my way. They didn’t give him that ticket but gave him a beat down instead. Crazy!
Absolutely ridiculous. I've seen and heard shit like that all my life with people making fun of people's names cause they sound different from what's common to them. It always pissed me off. Anyway, at least He got some money from the city for this horrible offense but still terrible stuff like this happens
14th and Broadway is where it happened.. I used to live on 15th.. I would jay walk there everyday coming home from school and jokingly say " This is for Tupac" when I did it

his debut single was called TRAPPED, in 1991...this was before the police incident, nobody knew who he was cuz he hadn't done movies or anything yet, only a verse on the song SAME SONG by digital underground...the police incident was 1991, and it was for JAYWALKING...he sued the city of Oakland for it

I'm curious to know your mom's reaction to the Blackwatch interview of Pac eating pizza 🤣 That's my favorite interview of him and he dropped a lot of gems. Mom might not like that one so much though LOL. Pac did a lot of cursing in that one.

Show your mom prison interview!!! ,,The only thing that can kill me is death, that's the only thing that can ever stop me is death, and even then my music will live forever"
Your mum is right. More white people bought his records. Because they could relate to the emotion in his music. He's referring to the police, politicians and media when he said the white comment ... who went on and said his music has no place in society. There were campaigns to ban his first record and stop people hearing it. Remember he was only 23 in this interview. And he always acknowledged his mistakes. His interview at 17 was mind blowing. It shows how much the police brutality, the shooting, the false charge, him being followed affected him. He died just as he was moving to the next level ... movies, community support and politics. Although this is a subject of debate ... but his death was an assassination. They used his own people against him ... as the mafia / british empire do to avoid any comeback.
It wasnt that way until the 2000s, years after he died. White ppl were not his fan base like that back in the 90s, but you are right when he says white ppl he's not tslking about ALL white ppl. He is tslking about the media, cops, and politicians. Usually that's what most Black ppl mean when they say "white ppl"
2pac got head in the night club but that’s not where the "incident happened". That happened back at their hotel room.
