If you're somewhere in (or close to) the US and you're interested in buying ASHIKO, you can do so by following this affiliate link to the Perfect Circuit webstore (this helps me out): link.perfectcircuit.com/t/v1/8-12626-287984-9759?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.perfectcircuit.com%2Fjolin-lab-ashiko.html

For that price so much stereo options are awesome ❤

Excellent module for panning (and demonstration!) - for sure a no brainer in 6hp only: I use it all the time to spatialize 2 mono and 1 stereo sources.

Great video again! But the audio is not mixed? If you use the last output, not all input audio is provided?

Hey thank you! No Ashiko doesn't mix as far as I know.

A little annoying it doesn’t close when using a unipolar envelope in mono mode.

I agree, I don't think it's the best 'all round' VCA out there are all. It's very good at the stereo panning stuff though, easy to set up and affordable for 4 (8) channels.

Ashiko is a full-range VCA / panner - it accepts singnals from -10v/+10v and its transistors based CV inputs are designed expecially around LFOs as stated in the manual. Making it fully close with a strictly positive 0-10v signal would have make it a CV-switch more than a panner. It needs a certain offset to direct some of the current to the other VCA input and make the crossfade possible with two degrees of smoothness. If panning multiple mono or stereo audio sources (or CV) with an LFO / full range dual signal is what you need Ashiko can do it with only four cables needed. If you are looking for a standard vca that opens only with positive signals and closes at 0 there are many cheaper alternatives on the market. Any other questions, please let me know!

@@Jolin_wbsfair enough. It can’t do everything and the other things it does are great. Thanks for putting it together, I’m really enjoying it.
