I just bought my "last fishing license", (pier license will need an annual purchase). I turned 65 next spring. 😊 My doctor caught me watching your video. Lol. He took my phone and found a video y'all were in. I was telling him about BeachBum fishing supplies. He knew more than I did about it.

Mangrove snapper change their colors for their surroundings he must have come out of a shaded spot as well as darker water but the water looks clean where you're at they normally tend to look super light with the feeding stripe next to the eye when they get lit up. From the keys to Sebastian Inlet

Take a couple extra seconds and hook your live shrimp better. You are killing them with the hook. Look at the horn or head and the first kinda dark colored spot down from the tip of the horn is the shrimps brain. Place your hook between the tip and the brain just below the top ridge of the shell. This is a tough spot and won't kill your live shrimp. When the bite is slow you need your bait alive long as possible.

They change color pending water depth, clarity and salt ppt. Usually your darker fish are found in shallower, murky brackish water. The darkest mangroves I've ever seen area in a Locke. It's saltwater but it has very little flow only when the Locke opens. They are abnormally huge and dark.

These fish are typically gray with dark dorsal and caudal fins. However, there is a wide variety between pale bars, small spots, and tail color depending on habitat and age. They prefer habitats with rocky ledges, coral, or mangroves and can live in coastal and offshore areas.Feb 13, 2023

My limited experience has been if you want bigger ones you have to fish in really snarly stuff or fish structure way off the beaten path. The easy to access stuff gets hit hard. I have never tried for them with anything other than shrimp but have been told if you switch to bigger bull minnows or some other fish you can keep the shorter ones at bay.

I'll tell you, if you want to stick to really healthy eating, just do what you keep doing and catching fish, that's like the best protein out there, lean and nutrient rich. You just got to stop breading and frying everything. I know it's delicious, but a lot more healthy to not do so. I always enjoy eating fried fish, but many times I think it ruins the flavor of the actual fish. But that's just me. Now if you're doing keto, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to fry it as long as it's not breaded. I was doing keto Way back when it was just the Atkins diet but probably at least 30 years ago! It works, but if you don't maintain, it comes back real quick!

I don’t get it what’s the point of releasing a fish with a hook in its mouth, for the sake of it being within regulation? If game and wildlife comes around I’ll just tell them the hook was to deep and there’s no law stating that in order to fish for mangrove snappers I need a certain type of hooks like for striped bass in nyc or nj.

If you can handle intermittent fasting, you will lose more weight and keep it off. The benefits includes healthy for your heart, brain and overall wellness. I started two weeks ago. 8 hours where you can eat and 16 hours fasting. The most incredible part for me is that I am not nearly as hungry as i was before starting. This way of eating was recommended to me by a brilliant cardiologist. Do some research and you will be amazed.

Google: Effects of Intermittent Fasting on Health, Aging, and Disease. NEJM. Dec 26, 2019. It will take you to the New England Journal of Medicine. I did not find one reference to binge eating while doing internittent fasting. I can tell you that before I started fasting, I was binge eating at all hours of the day and night. @@smmyers5956
