Im in my senior year, just getting ready for UM foundation courses. Is it competitive for the UM foundation program? It says something about math, but I'm not really a math whiz, you know... Could use some assistance.
@@Chloeeeeee.0510 hi there! I just finished my foundation programme year actually. Yes there is a math requirement for all participants. I did the arts and culture track therefore the math was “basic”. Historically I’ve always not been the best at maths, but since I was in basic it was manageable. I did have to do a resit for it, but I passed, therefore I was able to continue at Maastricht uni. What track did you choose to pursue?
@@trineestelle653 Wow, thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it. I'm aiming to major in biomedical science for my undergrad, so I'm thinking of applying for the science program. But, my math grades are just sitting at 3.0 out of 4.0.. 😢

I remeber the time I came to Maastricht and my problems with housing. I booked a place in Belgium on distance. I was travelling from Poland and when I finally came it turned out that the room will not be free until the next week (I didn't know about that), the place is unfurnished (I didn't know that), the place was the most tine and shitty place far, far away from the city. I turned out I didn't take it and landed with my giant suitcase on the street:) It was 2006 - it's a shame to hear that housing is still such a big problem in Maastricht.

Friends from business faculties at Maastricht have said that tutors and professors can be hit or miss sometimes, what has your experience been like? I have a lot of anxiety and wondered if they respect that or if they force actively participation in the tutorials.
My second question is a bit similar but I hear students can tutor too? Do they really do a good job like actual tutors? And can we switch groups if we don't like them?

Thanks so much for this video it’s really helpful! Just wondering the best part time jobs in Maastricht and how often you can realistically work with school (looking at doing law)? Also what is the nightlife scene like, i.e. pubs, clubs, house parties, etc?
If you come internationally, you can only work 16hrs a week during the school year and full time in the summer. Many students do delivery jobs on bikes to work flexibly with school, or in cafes/restaurants on weekends.
Nightlife is very active on weekends with lots of frat clubs or house parties all around the city :) lots of pubs , especially in the summer and spring

How do you create contracts without the ID? Genuinely curious because we use it in Spain and Portugal. To be safe that none of them will do something related to scamming with the money… and we need it for taxes ahaha
Hi my daughter is going to study MU this September. She is a classical piano student. So she has a big piano. I will be going to Masstricht to find an apartment for her in August. Could you please recommend a nice and safe area where she might be able to find an apartment? She prefers an area with close access to a supermarket.

Hi! No subject requirements to apply for psychology at least, just a high school diploma that is accepted :)

@@noraromero6837 usually students arrive in August, I recommend coming at the beginning of the month to have time to settle in. I arrived in July too, which was nice to have the extra time but not entirely necessary

Location, is furniture included/ in what condition does the place come? Are utilities included in price, if so which ones? If not, are there additional service fees? What kind of other tenants are in the building/house? Last renovations/work on the place? What is the energy rating?

Would you recommend paying a fee to get a subscription to housing websites? (E.g. for Maastricht housing there is a fee of 39 euros)
Yes I do! I know the cost is frustrating but they can be very helpful
Honestly stay on the Facebook groups, it's a lot of work but personally paying for Maastricht housing has been really useless for me
@@kalli2271 I personally have no experience on maastrichthousing for actually getting a place, but have found pararius and kamernet most helpful :)
@@arielsjournal I do have to admit I got lucky on the facebook group because I moved during lockdown so a lot of rooms were available then
Just gonna add another perspective, I've found my place on maastrichthousing and am really happy with it! The fee is frustrating for sure, but in my opinion it is worth paying :))
