What a lovely video, Maggie. I so love hearing about your life with Zak and the dogs on your beautiful, productive and extensive property. You are so full of life, living life to the full, which is a brilliant example to anyone living with IBD and/or an ostomy. Having a stoma doesn’t need to slow you down or define you! Don’t you think that having faced death, you appreciate life in all its fullness more and more - from the big things like a loving hubby and a beautiful home, and a supportive family, to the little things like enjoying the sunshine and being creative and productive. I have faced death at least 3 times in my life and am so grateful to God that I am still alive, still smiling. I may not enjoy the best of health and this has robbed me of all the full active life I used to enjoy but I don’t consider it robbery, because it has freed me up to enjoy creating art in a way I never had time for before.
Watching your video and following your life is a tonic to anyone! Keep up the good work. You and Zak are beautiful people and so encouraging, as I am sure that’s your over 80 thousand subscribers would agree with!!

Happy 4th of July, it was lovely to you had an amazing dinner despite you having to put so much effort into it. I didn't realise that you have so much land, how is you business coming along, or is it still on hold. I love the Summer but unfortunately Mr sun is not really friendly towards me. I'm quite ill if I sit inthe sun, even with factor 50 on. I become very hot and bothered, feel sick. it's not so bad if I sit under an umbrella but that extends the time only for an hour. 😢 I also can't stand the cold weather as I have Rainards disease bad circulation. 😅 Gosh I sound very miserable but I'm not honestly, my knitting and crocheting is my equivalent of what your garden is for you. love and hugs to you both and all your families. XxxX ❤❤❤

I hate the heat of summer. It's been over 100F almost every day here and with the heat index it's even hotter. We've canned green beans, pickles, beets, and corn. Oh and some seedless blackberry jelly.

Maybe, if you find some seedlings of the wild berries, you could dig them up & plant them closer, where they're easier to access. Years ago, when I lived in WA, my neighbor gave me a bunch of raspberry plants which I planted along my chain link dog run. They screened the run & looked prettier than the ugly chain link fence, plus the berries were easy to get to. When they'd bloom, my Irish Setter developed a taste for the berries & would come up & pluck off the ripe berries carefully with his teeth to avoid the stickers & enjoy a treat.

I will enjoy any garden content, my tomatoes contracted late blight and I had to pull out my whole crop. My only crop this year. 😭

You should totally invest in a vacuum sealer for your garden produce! I'm about to get one myself as I'm tired of freezer burned food.

Wild black raspberries are so good! When I was a young girl I would pick them for my mom! Black raspberry pie is so good! My mom was a great pie baker! I miss her so much!

    Little wave from 🇨🇦.
Weather strange here. Trying to grow but looking forward to fall. The grass is dormant from sun frying it.
Strawberries seem to be prolific this year. They seem to thrive with heat.
    Thanks for sharing.

I wish we could skip summer because, with the heat, I have to change my ostomy routine. And I have seasonal allergies too, so summer sucks for that too.
