Long time viewer but haven't posted In ages. This video really stood out and exemplified the attitude and joy of playing golf that brought me to the channel. This has been a tough year for me, scoring, but I have had a lot of fun despite the struggles. Thanks for posting the good and bad of trying different courses.
You have a great attitude, I totally enjoy watching you play, I found your channel only recently, because I searched Redlands Mesa golf course in Colorado. I have played there many times love the way you managed the course.
This is a perfect example of why I love your channel. Such a positive attitude. It's very refreshing to see in light of all the negativity in the world these days. 🙏🙏
I enjoyed your play. Enjoy all the golf you can with your father; I sure wish I could play another round of golf with my dad. The only thing I would say about the course... it would have been a 6-pack for 9-holes...or more
When I saw the first hole I honestly thought it was a deserted golf course you were about to play, but then I realized that the grass was actually "mowed". Anyhow, great seeing you still having a good time and enjoying spending time with your father.
Reminds me of playing my local course in Germany during a very wet winter - balls getting plucked in deep mud on fairways and losing a few fairway balls. Good example from you how to handle this - take it easy and enjoy playing golf even if course conditions aren’t the best in the world…
I thought they’d closed down this course long ago, somehow it survived. Would love to see you play the Carey Island old course which is quite near Banting. Another crazy track but a bit more playable if you find the course dry.
A field with sticks. That was funny "I'm just trying to take out as much of the green as I can" This would be a world class course 150 years ago. We are lucky today.
We call a course like this a cow pasture or a dog track. Commendable that you continued to play. I would have asked for my money back after first hope.
hello Gen, it was my family club house back in 1991 to 1996. it was fully maintained back then. so sad I saw the poor maintenance now. think no more golfer used to play here now. so they have no enough fund to maintain the course... 😓😓
@@GenevieveLingGolf it was the course that I had my test and short workshop for handicap. yeah it was, decent course and very well maintained, cheap too, no buggy last time. walking course, monthly medal, hole in one, 😓😓 such a good memories
I would have left and look for a nice place for breakfast. Just being honest, I don’t share this level of positivity. But that’s just me. So good on you!
This club remind me long ago in 90s I play at sabah tambunan club.. I love quiet club with few player but the fairway, green conditions very bad.. Bunker turn into small pond lol
"Golf teaches you a good attitude" ...i'm sure you saw the clips online of those guys fighting on course... (i know what you mean, i just had to say it) 😁
Haha now you know how the rest of us feels like. Sooo easy for you tour players to play mostly from the fairways, putt on perfect greens for birdies, whereas the rest of us play from the rough all the time and have to save bogeys or double bogeys with our putts, and then talk positively about how much we love the game😆😆😂
I have played in the course....its super over grown and has alot of wild boars. Not a straight forward course. Abit run down poor management but a challenge
It is high time the Malaysian Government to reconsider whether state government/ district offices and government-linked companies should be allowed to spend public funds and allocate manpower to maintain golf courses.
Ha ha.. playing on wet and soggy ground. The look does affect your performance. Even though the fairway is different from what u used to, there's still t off into the rough or wayward... It's psychology
I play a course in Arizona that is short and in bad condition. It is a way to learn all about adjusting for bad lies. But I have to admit, the greens are better than this course you played. Oh my 😅😅😅
Playing sub-standard golf courses makes you appreciate the time, effort and work it takes to keep those beautifully maintained golf courses in such pristine conditions. It takes a dedicated staff that takes pride in their work. Frankly, I'm surprised that Sri Morib Golf Club let you film there. It has exposed their golf course as a place that either lacks talent, skill or an empassioned work force, not to mention the finances. To let golf carts out in those conditions means they don't care about the damage done, they just want the money for the carts. It's embarrassing. Don't misunderstand me though... they may only be able to accomplish what they have due to lack of funding and resources. It takes a small fortune to operate a golf course and achieve high standards and Sri Morib GC may not have the support of a large golfing community to sustain that. Anyway... like you said, "golf is just a game" and "it's about going out and having some fun". Aside from that, realize that those conditions are probably as good a condition that the game of golf was played in a century ago. Imagine what Old Tom Morris had to play on when he was shooting scores in 70's with wooden shafts and hand pounded iron heads!!!

It was good to see you spending time and having fun with your dad. Loved the chipper putting!
It was a good time 😄😄
I love your preshot routine, especially when you always spin the club just before lining up the shot!
I need your attitude in my everyday life, not just on the golf course! I appreciate your video content.

Thank you for the kind words 🥹
That's allways my thought: stick this close... Oh gosh. Thank you, Gen. Made my day even better.
😂 the intention must be there! Hehe
@@GenevieveLingGolf At least I got one thing right. Hahaha
Best arh you. Helps the local clubs .. admire your effort … keep it up Gen
Thanks for being the greatest. I always recommend golf with GEN to everyone I meet. GBG NO EDITS.
Hey Gen… after watching that first hole I have decided to watch the rest in the morning to avoid having nightmares… goodnight 😂

Thanks for sharing Gen😍 "I'm getting very good at putting with my wedge"..😆 what a green😄
It was cool to see you yesterday at the Dutch Ladies Open. Grtz of Eric the long haired metalhead guy. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
awww cherish the moments you get to spend with your dad! what i would do to be able to play another round of golf with mine
I saw a couple beautiful views. And it didn’t appear overly crowded. 😊. Good to see you Gen !
It was a beautiful day!
Another great vlog ❤🏴 you made the best of a badly kept course
A good walk that you didn't let golf spoil... The views were great and swinging weighted objects for aerobic exercise.

Very fun watching you play a less than perfect course.

You putt better with a wedge than I do with a putter!
A field with sticks.

This would be a world class course 150 years ago. We are lucky today.
We have had to play those types of courses before too, at least you had someone to enjoy it with !
Greens look like helipads! LOL
100 ringgits for a round there? 😳
Going by the state of the course, 100 ringgits should be good for life membership!
Hi Gen! It's quite commendable that you find time from your busy schedule to hang out with your dad! You are overdue for LPGA! 🙏🏾
This shows how respectful Gen is. Fixing a davit on that course. Sorry for spelling.
Day 420 of believing the old chill intro will come back some day.
Same here!
Ahh!! The old goat pasture! I have one of those near me!!!

That’s so sad, I’m sure it would be a decent course but I guess no traffic for them to spend the money to maintain it :(

Can you fix the microphone noise please?
Always love the videos
Vijay Singh used to be Sri Morib club pro many many years ago!
Really?!
I know not beauty golf course but I Love it..
Next, Try to play at Teluk Intan GC after this.
hole no 2, par 3, the 1st time ever I had Hole in One, used to play duo with my late father, he is the only witness. no reward for that. so sad 😮💨😓😓
Yikes! That's a really rough course to play on. Those greens need a lot of work!
Just a tiny bit 😅
Busted for playing your first tee shot ob…..right of the white stakes……lol
Haha it was actually in the hazard 😂 that was their hazard stakes LOL
@@GenevieveLingGolf love your content, keep up the great work.
Greens condition 😱😱😱😱
This video gave me deja-vu: I played at several similar "courses" like this when I was growing up. Not as well as you, though! 🙂
Where is Morib? 1st tea box pretty scruffy. Nice legs😅
"Golf teaches you a good attitude" ...i'm sure you saw the clips online of those guys fighting on course... (i know what you mean, i just had to say it) 😁
I doubt we can describe Melaka Straits as an ocean. Anyway, that Morib club is ancient.
idk is it just me but i quite enjoy playing run down golf courses sometimes
Fun!
1 request would like to know every iron you hit
You mean the model?

A bit of army golf is good for the soul.
Every now and then, yes 😄

This course looks to be in pretty rough shape. Especially the lack of drainage.
Yeah it needs some love 🥹
That's a normal course many places in the world 😅
Sri Morib used to be the best 9 hole course in the country. Pity it's so poorly maintained. No wonder the course looks deserted on a public holiday.

Welcome to my world…. 🤣
it's nice to play with your dad but I've seen nicer cow pastures lol
Haha I have too😅😅
They just need a fence and a few cows and this place would be perfect...🤭
Sadly too many courses have poor conditions and yet charge a premium price.
RM110 for a bad fairway and green. 😢

They weren’t given any love :(
