Great video and editing! I got the same watch 2 months ago, a 16014 Datejust from 1983. Always wanted a vintage watch that's the same age as I am. It's definitely a pleasure to look at, and admire the craftmanship.
Wow - having owned a Honda 500-4 AND a 1603 DateJust, this video put everything I was passionate about in great words and images, and really resonated with me. I'll be watching this again and again...
At 57, I've always felt this way. I'd take a vintage Rolex Sub or GMT over a new one every day but for some reason this a permiated my thoughts since I was in my 20s. I always gravitate towards vintage rather than new. The words classic, heritage & proven come to mind. If its old yet still highly desirable today, it meets those criteria.

Loved the video. Although I kinda want to buy a bike more than a wrist watch from that video. It did however convey the idea that vintage watches are cool.
Nice man. I’m 56 now. I had this bike in 1984 through about 2001. Mine was silver. I also had a silver dial datejust from 1980. Which I later traded in for a 14270 Explorer. Vintage and even up to neo vintage are far better than modern Rolex in my opinion. Any of the five digit variants of Rolex in my opinion are more refined. Bigger and chunkier doesn’t always mean better. The older rattling oyster bracelet and Jubilee bracelet are far more comfortable than the hand cuff feeling modern models. Just my opinion. Great video.
Great video, but Rolex can keep their watches. I used to want a vintage, stainless Datejust, until I saw through the nonsense: the snob appeal, Rolex’s poor to non-existent after-sale service. I’m over it.
This makes me want to buy a vintage Rolex
Could be a sign....
1:50 transition is so smooth

Do you consider the DJ 16220 R-series as a vintage watch?
It’s neo-vintage, so kind of, ya. Excellent watch by the way.

Nice film and nice bike, but Rolex is for carpet baggers and parvenus now…it’s the opposite of classy.
