  • Mo Hunt’s officially part of the crew!! She joins Elma and Scaz as a full time host for the start of Season Three from a kitchen somewhere in the Leicestershire countryside.
Mo & Scaz haven’t seen each other since before the World Cup & a lot’s happened for both of them since then, so the girls have got some catching up to do.
Scaz give us a full tournament debrief; the thrill of a final at a hostile Eden Park, the white wall that faced the Black Ferns Haka, that rainy Australia game and the families versus players cricket match which sounds like one for the ages.
It’s a wild ride - finished off with the story and the heartache behind Mo’s shock omission from the England squad pre-tournament & Elma’s baking, which leaves a lot to be desired. If you haven’t seen GSR's new season three launch video, filmed in the Leicestershire Kitchen, you can catch it here: • 🧁 The GSR Bake Off #go...

There is so much to unpack from that show, rollercoaster of emotions, it almost seems that Mo will benefit from that awesome interaction. Her disappointment was felt, even after months it is still a raw feeling. Brilliant show.

Superb 1st episode and this is why ladies rugby is so pure, my heart goes out to both girls, especially MO, a top rugby player. Coming from a Kiwi who was at the final, we have total respect for the English team, on and off the pitch. Kia kaka.

Sean Fitz was actually right about the haka. It is more about the All Blacks/Blackferns performing it well for them their whanau/tribe/country. The opposition can stand where ever they want. I personally liked the English teams response of standing across the field & if it made them feel like they were a wall then even better. It is always interesting watching how the opposing teams deal with it but it never has an effect on how the All Blacks or Blackferns are going to perform it. Enjoyed the podcast & having been on the coaching staff at a mens Rugby World Cup understand all of what the team environment is like. Its always the 3rd week cabin fever hits. 3 months together??? wow!!!

Loved this episode, so much openness and honesty from Mo and Scaz. Showing the side of professional sport, the setbacks, disappointments and the lows, that the general public forget or move on from very quickly. I loved that Mo didn’t hid how crushing it was for her, whilst referencing how other players that didn’t get picked also felt. Well done Elma for just letting particularly Mo speak and articulate how she felt, rather than trying to force in specific questions.

I don't think it's possible for a sports person to articulate their feelings better than Scaz did here on the gut-wrenching nature of England's World Cup final defeat and the emptiness felt in its aftermath.

    Totally missed this was back!
I've been late to this after a rugby blackout since the New Zealand final. My Apple Watch thought I was having an issue with my heart because I was watching it lying in bed and my heart rate was like I was running. I felt gutted, so I can't imagine how Scaz and the rest of the squad were feeling. Much love to both girls in their debrief, and thanks Mo for telling us how it is to be left at home. I assumed she'd been plenty good enough to get into the squad and it must have been so hard when so many of your mates were going.
And I can't imagine the frustration of knowing you had the best 15 on the pitch and were cruising. Then dropping to 14 for over 60 minutes, yet still have your own destiny in your hands for one final throw of the dice, but then falling just short. England were mighty and, despite losing, were still the best team in the world.
Thanks for the content, time for me to catch up on some backlog!

Loved this insight and the Hollie Davidson insight. I know it might be hard but would love a Black Ferns insight to the final and World Cup. Amazing spectacle for women’s sport, the final was a credit to both teams. Im English but live in NZ so I couldn’t loose really. Either side deserved the win but the Black Ferns story was amazing.

Put into perspective, we played for 60 minutes with 14 players. More credit to these sportswomen who almost caused a massive shock by winning with 14 players. Amazing team

but its true what sean said about the haka - the english put more importance on it and make such a big deal about it more so than us kiwis - its a challange the opponents can do whatever they like as a response and kiwis respond more favouably if the opponents to do something different as a response but offending the haka is more about the brits interpretation than the kiwis and think it is so sacrosanct than the opponents cant challenge the haka which of course is the main point is to challenge and respond accordingly

Heart goes to Mo ❤️. We were all shocked at her omission and it's refreshing how open and honest about the downside of sport and heartache of missing out on selection.
I can confirm as Scaz said the GlosVegas strip is quite something 😂

I’ve reflected on the World Cup final a few times. Sorting out my emotions of thrill, captivation, pride, inspiration and frustration I come to the same conclusion, summarised by an internal voice saying: “for fuck’s sake!”

I was at the final. The roar when Joanna Ngan-Woo’s “hand of God” intercepted that final lineout was absolutely deafening. The place was going nuts. So happy they won but I think the English are still the greatest women’s team in recent years.

For most NZer when we lost to yous your commentary team talked with no respect for us made the whole country welled our team on to not just make the final but to win it and knowing your same media told everyone and your team all you had to do was show up and it’s yours and we now know what happen. You need to go to World Cup with respect and being humble then your heads are in the right place, try it cause what you are doing not working is it. See yous next World Cup 😢

I’m not being funny, but why can’t the girls let their hair down. They’re not actually on the rugby field, so why the scrunched up hair and the drab look.? Both girls looks gorgeous when made up.

I was cheering on for NZ in the final as NZ played the most entertaining Rugby .. England’s repetitive Catch & Drive boring to watch!

Agree Can't rely on winning games by rolling mauls all the time.Actually the Black Ferns scored two tries in the finals from mauls. But the difference between the Black Ferns and England is that we are not afraid to run it from anywhere. But it was our Black Ferns 7's stars that made NZ the more superior side.
