Glen-L Hot Rod Sea Trials 2

Engine break-in continues on our Glen-L Hot Rod v-drive ski boat powered by a Chevy 350 CID V8. We launched at the Gatineau Marina on the Ottawa river on an overcast cool Sunday afternoon. Mechanical systems are good to go. We'll complete the deck, fuel tanks and interior over the winter months. It's a very sweet handling boat !

At the time we shot the video, we didn't have a torque tube cover and the engine was on break-in so we didn't spin it more than 5000 RPM. With 12% overdrive and a cupped 12 x 15p 3 blade Nibral prop we registered 30 MPH @ 2000 RPM, 41 MPH @ 3000 RPM, 50 MPH @ 4000 RPM. WOT unknown. Speeds are Livorsi GPS, We'll have some fresh data as soon as we relaunch at the end of August.
