The train from Lamezia to Tropea takes about an hour. It is very inexpensive and only costs 4,20€ per person. There are no assigned seats on this route and the train stops in Pizzo, Vibo Marina, Briatico, Zambrone and Parghelia along the way. You can use the App or book directly through Trenitalia online
The Trenitalia website or app offers many options for both regional and intercity depending on the time. The ride is just under an hour with stops along the way. It’s about 4,20€

@@trishgokul8946 if you only have one day in Tropea, you can still enjoy the beach, views and Centro storico as they’re all in close proximity. Hopefully you can get in early enough to enjoy the day at the beach and afternoon/evening in town. If you only want beach time it’s worth a day trip visit as it’s spectacular
It depends what you’re looking for as the Amalfi coast, Calabrian coast and Puglia all have great places to see. Tropea in Calabria has an amazing beach and many nearby beaches at the adjacent towns. The beaches are smaller in Amalfi and lovely in a different way. Puglia has beautiful beaches as well. If you go back to our videos I posted many in the tropea area. I also posted 2 years ago in Amalfi and Puglia. Those may visually show you the area and you can chose what areas beaches are best for what you’re looking for.
@@theperriadventures thank you so much. I arrive into lamezia terme airport on the 6th of May at 7pm and I have to get a train from there to Tropea. Are the train times not frequent atall at that time and do I just buy my train ticket when I am there will there be enough available?:) It doesn't seem as straightforward at that time for trains :/
@@jam12732 we used the trenitalia website (select English language or other) and would search trains for the date of travel we wanted. There are approximately 10 trains daily from lamezia to tropea. We often booked online and boarded with an eticket. Those do not require validating. You can book online in advance or moments before the trip. Or if you buy your ticket in person at the machine or ticket agent the day of, you’ll need to validate it at a validation machine at the station. We found there were many options last minute to travel (but will be busier in the summer). The cost usually goes up closer to date or time of travel. It’s good to search all options including stops and train switches. There is a direct train to tropea from lamezia but be cautious that it doesn’t first go to Rosario then switch. It’s still possible to do but will be a longer trip. The direct train from lamezia to tropea will still have stops along the way but no train changes.
@@jam12732 I searched your date and it shows a couple trains after you arrive. These two require a switch of trains but it’s not complicated. Follow the information on where you’ll switch trains and there are always signs telling you what binario your train is leaving from. All trains have route numbers you’ll find on your ticket. The lamezia train station is close to the airport but you’ll need some time to transfer over. The station isn’t big so it’s not stressful to locate your train.

If there is a change of train do they give you tome to catch the second train? And validating the ticket is that far from the train to do that? Seems abit stressful
