Hearing this song always takes me back to being a teenager riding with my brother in his little MGB.
I got tom work with Debbie on her solo album in the mid 80s. She was the SWEETEST person to work with. All we did was laugh in all the sessions.

as great as Debbie Harry is, I believe the crowning achievement here is the instrumental and the guys' "la la la", catchy af.

well, im 42 years old and i was knee-high to a grasshopper when they were playing late night videos, but ir's hard to forget seeing blondie for the first time. of course, i had to run to the record store the next day.
A sign of great music? It sounds just as good as it did when you first heard it and is liked by a whole new generation all over again. Something you really don't get with today's music.

One of "the" progressive bands of the 70's and 80's. New wave, punk, synth, lots of various genre infusion. Days of real musicians who wrote and scored their own work. Loved the 12" vinyl/extended versions bands used to put out during this time. Nothing like clean vinyl pumped through an analog amp.

I met Debbie whilst working in a Glsgow hotel around 20 odd years ago when i was employed as a porter , only got a brief exchange as she was performing that night and all she needed from me was to get rid of a bunch of flowers that she had been given from a fan a few minutes earlier , still a stunning lady even then although she must have been in her 50s :-)
Wow.... Don't ever recall hearing this version as an LP before & I"m an ole fashion audiophile! Put that L P in a firebox - locked! I'm finicky but this one is fantastic. Brings me back to my days while in the early 20's, crystal ball n booging crazy! Thank You!

It's 1977-8 and you're at club 54 doing lines of coke off the bathrroom sink and this song kicks in.
Have to say, this is the best disco version I've heard in time, a really nice consistent beat and no stupid bits added in by people who have no clue what they're playing with! Top marks, my friend, this has been favourited!
