This a little series I have decided to make. I will compile what I believe to be the greatest quotes of animated cartoon characters proceeded by a clip show set to a song I feel embodies the Character,this time being Galactus devourer of worlds. @Natmanprime Actually If Galactus were destroyed then the entire universe would be destroyed. Galactus is a necessary force for cosmic balance. So he actually saved the whole universe by saving galactus.
@Natmanprime Reed himself didn't know about the whole cosmic balance thing, he was just saving Galactus because he was being nice and is a hero. I'm saying in the comics there was a time where Galactus was destroyed and the universe was in peril. So Reed indirectly saved the universe. But yeah there will still be a lot of death nonetheless.

I think I like the version from Silver Surfer best, he seemed like an aloof, bemused god not a villain, he had his own code, he kept his word and was open to suggestions from lesser beings

Similar to what he did to Terrax in the comics and then sometime later, Dr. Doom revived him under his control.
It's been proven-- in their crossover (yes, there was one), Darkseid blasted Galactus with his full-strength Omega Beams (enough to kill Superman a hundred times over)...and it did *absolutely nothing* to Galactus, much to Darkseid's horror. I believe Galactus even made note of it, saying that for all the awe, fear, and terror that the name Darkseid commanded in this (DC) universe, that he was honestly expecting MORE. Yes, Galactus just trash-talked a god of tyranny.

Darkseid has a lot more power. There is a reason why superman could beat him even after crisis. Darkseid is something like a multidimensional creature. He is a god. He just decides not to kill them once and for all.

When Galactus is fully fed he can only be challenged by either another cosmic being such as himself, or by the use of certain rare artifacts that make the person that posses them virtually omnipotent ( The Ultimate Nullifier, The Infinity Gauntlet, and the Heart Of The Universe). However, the thing that allows Galactus to be used in so many stories is the fact that if he does not feeds he grows progressively weaker. This gives lesser characters a shot at him if enough of them team up together.
His design in EMH was ominous as hell.

What's really fucked up is that if you read into his backstory you find out the reason he is the way he is, it's super fucked up. I feel bad for him after learning of it

I ♥ galactus and FYI he is not a villain but a force of nature . He does what he does to survive he truly does not want to harm innocent and defenceless life forms but that is his role in the universe. Said so by mistress death her self.

I think it has to be a cross between a solar storm and the purple giant.

Not only does Galactus do what he does for survival but he's also the only one stopping more celestials from being birthed out of planets
Galactus is a hunter that needs to eat.. he does so knowing that what he takes, he must give back eventually. The beings he displaces do not understand this because they die and live so shortly. His hunger is only one stage of his life cycle.

You are correct. The-One-Above_All and The Living Tribunal are basically Marvel's equivalent of the Abrahamic God (capital G) and the archangel Gabriel. So it's obvious that their power is essentially limitless. As powerful as Galactus is (and he is unimaginably powerful), he was a creation of The-One-Above-All. Everything that exists was created by TOAA. He gave everyone (including Galactus) their power, he could just as easily take it away if he so wishes.

Dance With the Devil isn't really a good song for Galactus because he isn't evil. He's an important part of the Marvel Universe and he only feeds on planets because it's the only way he can satisfy his hunger and survive. He's also keeping an evil cosmic being called Abraxas from destroying the earth by containing him too.

John Noble would make a great Galactus in the M.C.U.
For those who don't know, John Noble played/voiced Mallus the Demon Lord in DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 3, Unicron the Destroyer in Transformers Prime, Henry Parrish in Sleepy Hollow Season 2, Scarecrow in Batman: Arkham Knight, Doctor Walter Bishop in Fringe, Brainiac in Superman Unbound, and Lord Denethor in Lord of the Rings 3: Return of the King.
Galactus is the next threat after Kang. I'm calling it. The F4 will soon appear. And The Ten Rings were giving off a mysterious signal - a beacon for him by chance?
@@lofthouse23 there's rumors that Galactus will be the main villain in the Fantastic Four movie. There's no other reason they might introduce him this soon aside from they want Galactus to take part in Secret Wars like in the comics. Same with Doom if rumors of him being in the Thunderbolts is true.

Personally, I slightly prefer James Blendick, who voiced Galactus in _Silver Surfer_ animated series, but Tony Jay is definitely a very close second. The reason why James is my favorite is because I feel he best captured Galactus's neutrality to good and evil and the fact that he transcends such concepts due to his unique role in the universe. His Galactus truly sounded like an ancient, all-powerful and honorable being that genuinely has no malicious intent, but only does what he has to in order to survive.

My favourite version of Galactus is the one in Avengers: EMH. He's much better when he's a silent being that is basically the mother of all intergalactic urban legends.
Curtis Stokman Which traditionally, he's always been portrayed that way in the comics.
No so much the silent part, he doesn't mind talking to higher level beings, or mortals that have proven themselves like Reed Richards and Doctor Strange. But he is usually portrayed to be a cosmic force of nature, legendary throughout the cosmos.
Some more recent modern stories have come to downplay him, I suspect. But those can be disregarded.

When I watched the Avengers movie involving the Infinity stones I had an idea that would guarantee Thanos would never complete his Gautlet. Give Galactus the time stone. With it, he could feast on 1 planet endlessly. Galactus under normal conditions acts slowly like a being in deep thought. Try to imagine how quickly he'd react to defend the time stone.

The thing is the ghost rider from that group of cartoons was able to use his penance stare on galactus galactus has no soul so the penance stare shouldn't have worked but that is another inconsistency in those cartoons and the comics from what I have heard
