This $#**#(#&÷ (fill in with whatever words you want) liftgate glass was driving me crazy. How much grease, PBBlaster, WD40, can a hinge need? Ten minutes after watching this, I had the glass open!!! Both struts were frozen solid. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Wow! I haven't been able to open the rear window on my 2002 Trailblazer in 6 years (since I bought it!) - now I have hope. I was going to replace the lift gate hatch struts today ($11 for the pair from eBay) anyway - cause I'm tired of getting whacked in the head. Will check window today and fix as necessary.

What if you can’t pry the rear window far enough to undo the struts?

@@FixingWithPassion New struts work great, but it takes two hands to close it now - definitely not too weak.
Any idea how to remove the rear hatch trim spoiler that houses the third brake light?

03 trailblazer ext my rear glass won't open but the button to push it is always "pushed in"

07 and same problem. Pushed all the way in but glass won’t open. I heard to take the button out cause sometimes they get stuck.
Do you need the keyless entry pad to open the liftglass?

This 2002 glass won't open at all...button will push in but window will not release and open
