I like the idea. Not sure if a bus that seats so few people will be practical. But I like the idea of making buses more comfortable. Air conditioning and wifi are definitely welcome! LED lighting is also a nice feature. And an auto-pilot system will insure that the bus will follow the rules of the road and will drive smothly and carefully. Where I live bus drivers cut people off, brake hard for no reason, hop curbs, run red lights, don't wait for people to get on/ off... An autonomous bus would solve these problems. As for propultion, here is an idea... There is room on a bus for batteries. Make it a hybrid system that also has fast charging. In every city, buses pass through some big bus stop and wait there for at least 10 minutes. Perfect place for a fast-charging station.

While what you say is theoretically right i think this time the people have every right to bash this stupid and useless design. First, why would you invest time and money to create a new bus interior just for one badly made marketing video?! Use these resources to create an actually better interior. Think about the people's problems and try fixing them. And if they weren't far enough yet but needed some futuristic looking interior for presenting they could have just taken a normal bus layout but used the new seats, Lighting etc. on that. Less work+better results. I mean quite honestly, as someone using public transportation on a daily basis i feel insulted. Furthermore it was nowhere mentioned that this design is just a placeholder. To me it seems very much like they are happy with that. The article that led me here even wrote about what their idea was for this and how the interior is designed to be for short distance travellers in the front and long distance travellers in the back(?) etc. seems like a very close to being finished concept rather than just a placeholder.

BYD hat in China schon ein paar 10.000 batterieelektrische Busse gebaut. Hab gehört, dass davon jetzt auch einige nach Europa importiert werden (London?). Man muss es eben einfach nur machen!
Ich liebe meinen Job und ich Liebe es Bus zu fahren. Das Fahren macht Spaß. So würde ich ja erst meinen Spaß bei der Arbeit verlieren und irgendwann wohl auch den Job selbst. :(

We should honestly allow Mercedes to remodel all our transportation cars like Trucks/Semi's/Delivery cars and trucks/Buses/Taxi's if only they could make their own trains and trams it would be the best thing they are shaping the world to become so futuristic they already started to introduce self driving cars.. imagine what they can accomplish in 30 - 50 years time. Only downside to public transport is that .. people trash it leave litter put stains or graffiti on it so... :L yeah Also having that docking charger is cool but i feel like on public transport you would lose your phone on it or have it stolen

Ist ein 6 Zylinder Diesel OM936 und ein M936G Gasmotor. Ab 2018 gibt es den Bus dann mit vollelektrischem Antrieb. Quelle Silicon.de ;)
