I grew up on Mario Party DS and loved it all my life. It was hilarious to me seeing people genuinely become scared or creeped out by the game’s fake piracy screens. I just replayed the story mode last week and it’s still fun, engaging, and certainly not scary
I believe one of the sticking points for multi-cart play was "New Record" data, and how it reflects each player. 3 people might be unhappy because one friend set the record forever.
I was the one who documented the multiboot client feature. It was really fun to reboot my childhood savefile only to see everything I unlocked stripped away because I used a fresh flashcard save to host :) luckily I had backed up the save just in case save corruption happened, but it still was quite a scare. Though while it wasn't mentioned in this video, I should mention that you can also use multiboot client feature to unlock stuff on fresh saves too, as opposed to relocking stuff on a completed save!

@Brayden Ozaeta Flashcards often have an anti-Piracy Bypass mechanic. If you're Flashcards is from before 2012 then i could Not have that Bypass. If its after 2012 then its gonna have That Bypass 90% of the time.
Think you could do a lost bits on "Okami"? The game went through a lot of changes and there were some things forgotten after the original PS2 game was lost, then rebuilt for the PS3/PS4 HD remasters. I know the beta of Okami was impressive to say the least!
This game was one of the first ever games I owned for myself when I was 4-5 (the other being Legendary Starfy) So its sudden resurgence has made me very happy, cause this game was so untouched until that one user decided to make the piracy videos
piecewo kaite likely means "draw a/the piece" but i havent played this version and dont know the minigames so its me assuming it would be written something like ピースを描いて it could be another kaku verb like 書いて which means to write or draw. it vould be to crack/break or to scratch.. just my theories from the perspective of "japanese makes sense but ygot me with this game all i know is itsa him mario"

8:38 is Trace Cadets in US version, in JP version it is called ピースをかいて(Pīsu o kaite) which means Piece Drawing (According to Mario Wiki). P.S. Trace Cadets is the WORST MPDS minigame for me, I never gone past the first drawing.
Dude I loved this game so much I constantly replayed the vacuum cleaner minigame and the cyber parkour minigame The corn stalk photo one and the globe shooter were amazing too I really wish my 3ds didn't break lol. I wish I could play this again
Weirdly enough, Plants vs Zombies DS had both multi cart play (without save file corruption) and download play. Dunno how Pop Cap managed to pull it off but not Nintendo themselves.
I know it is slightly outside of your ranges when it comes to content; but I really enjoyed the borderlands boundary break a while ago; and I think a similar episode for you could be very cool! Or maybe call of duty zombies? I dont know but I'm just throwing ideas

Well ultimately the game saves "New Record" data after each turn, so there is no escape to the bug :(
