    So many classic BZHub quotes from this video: "People are dumb sometimes." "Come on Bass, it isn't time to drive." "Don't come to Neherrin." Instant classics.

      Nobody talks about it but you can get 30 lbs trophy braid by catching black crappie, this being one of the spots. Low level grabbing that spoon and line early helps a bit. F2p thinking.

      @basicfishing10 NO!!! Stay away from crankbaits here unless you want to be fighting flathead half the time. They love crankbaits here.
      If you want to focus on bass, such with bass jigs and spinnerbaits. I've had AWESOME luck with spinnerbaits here, and bass jigs do just about as good. During daytime peak hours, I use either a 1/2 or 3/4 ounce white spinnerbait with an acid green worm attached. Also a white or brown 1/3 ounce bass jig with the same worm. The worms I attach have all been either 3 inch or 4 inch, whether it's the spinnerbait or the bass jig. At night sometimes I'll switch to a 3" or 4" glowing worm and I've had good results with them, too. But if you don't have glowing worms too switch to, the daytime worms will work at night, too.
      I'm mostly using a 6'3" ValueCast rod with an 8.8 lb casting reel (I forget which one right off the top of my head) and 8 lb flouro line for this.
      95% of what bites my lures are bass. Once in a while I'll get a redfin pickerel or trophy white crappie, and there have been a couple of shad, but almost exclusively bass with this setup. It seems to work very well. Hope this helps.

    Glad to see the return of this series, I was a big fan of it the first time around. I got a permanent license to Neherrin because it is actually one of my favorite places to fish even in the late-game. You can consistently catch unique Smallmouth once you've patterned them and they put up a good fight for their size. Keep up the good work boss.

  • @glfrjack

    I think that a better change of pace from Emerald is Falcon Lake when you're grinding cash. It's a bit more expensive than Neherrin and the level requirement is much higher than Emerald, but the price/weight of the trout is at or better than the walleye. Also, the ability to catch 4 types of trout and also smallmouth bass, makes it feel less "grindy" compared to Neherrin.

    • @raulisrael7342

      l like to differ I switched from emerald to falcon and I kept getting these shitty ass small trouts that ate my eggs and only small one bited my narrow spooon, while emerald I had always a confirmed 200 atleast walleye

    Don't forget to earn extra for repairs here if you plan on fishing with gear that might hook the big fish. Accidentally hooking 20-30lb. cats is something that will hammer your gear. Avoid using shiners for one if you aren't ready for the real pigs at this location.

    • @arcanewyrm6295
      @arcanewyrm6295 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @russellayton6408 To stick with bass at Neherrin, best lures I've found are spinnerbaits and bass jigs. They love crankbaits, too, but in my experience, you're just as likely to get hit by flathead cats (on crankbaits) as you are by bass. Best luck I've had is switching back and forth periodically between 1) a white spinnerbait (1/2 ounce or 3/4 ounce) with an acid-green worm (3" or 4"), and 2) a 1/3 ounce bass jig (white or brown, no noticeable difference) with the same worm. (I've also had a lot of luck with the July 4th 2024 event's 4" rattlesnake worm, but lots of people might not have that one.) This is for daytime fishing. At night these rigs work, too, but I've also had lots of luck using glow-in-the-dark worms. Once in a while you'll get a pickerel instead of bass (it's fine - better money per pound anyway), maybe the occasional shad or trophy crappie. But at least 90% of what hits my lures have been bass. I've not caught ANY catfish with spinnerbaits or bass jigs, so very little wasted time (and equipment wear and tear) from them.

    I'm mostly using a 6'3" ValueCast rod with an 8.8 lb casting reel (I forget which one right off the top of my head) and 8 lb flouro line for this. Also an 88-lb Keepnet. Once the net is full and I skip to the next day, it sells for $5500 to almost $6300 per net. Also... Even the young bass are worth around $60 per pound, so if you're not wanting to keep ejecting youngs for commons and trophies (and uniques), you won't lose much value. I've had nets full of nothing but trophies and uniques and they don't bring much more than my mixed bass nets do, so it really won't hurt the profits much to have some young ones in the net, too. The pickerel are around $100 a pound, so keep them if you get them. Trophy creator are pretty good value per pound, too. And I don't get many of either, so I don't sweat trying to let them go just to make room for bass.
    95% of what bites my lures are bass. Once in a while I'll get a redfin pickerel or trophy white crappie, and there have been a couple of shad, but almost exclusively bass with this setup. NO CATS. It seems to work very well. Hope this helps.

    Im level 20 and still fish at nehrrian river bc it’s really easy to get unique gar if you get on top of the long and fish in between the two rocks on the right. I use medium cutbait, shiners, and sometimes small minnow
    You get to the log by spawning at the place that has the word blue in it and backing up, from there you will see a green grass patch walk on that and then just get on the log which is at the end of the grass walkway

      The other thing I do not do is look at guides for figuring out hotspots.. I'm a more scientific adult so I enjoy the process of experimenting and discoverying. That is where the fun really lies in this game for me.

      I can't do the math because i refuse to throw back a fish :P. BUUUUT simply put.
      Time=money :)
      Think about it. You spent X amount of time on that gar, and X amount on the catfish (can't keep it even if you wanted). Missing out on X amount of LB's in your keep net.
      Sure it's not as much money as bass. But you did spend TIME dragging the suckers in lol. Mind as well keep em at that point. Don't forget about bait money!

    • @BoAngles
      @BoAngles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So- even if I could have kept the catfish, which I couldn’t, I would have filled 16/66lb keepnet for $380. Spent 4-5 minutes getting him in, which was ridiculous but whatevs. Meanwhile, 16lbs of bass would have been somewhere around $1000 depending on size- $500 to switch nights, means that you could theoretically fill your keepnet with 4 Flathead at 16lbs for $1440 in 20-30 minutes, minus the $500 for switching nights which gives you $940 for 20-30 minutes of fishing. So- if we were to catch a 2-5lb bass every 1-2 minutes, we would have 10-15 bass, equaling 20-66lbs+ (though 10-15 5lbers at Neherrin would be unrealistic) at the bare minimum $1200 to around 4000- which is what we got in the video, minus $500 for travel, $3500.
      Long story/math short- don’t waste time throwing out feeder rods at Neherrin, I did it for the video to catch some different fish for viewers, but it completely throws off how much money you can make if you hook into a big Flathead… that I couldn’t even keep in my case. 🤣
