I bought the NRSV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible in synthetic leather. It is a very good Bible. I love the slightly tinted pages to give it an aged appearance.
So helpful. Of all these cultural ones/archaeology ones; which should I get? My Mom had brain surgery (aneurysms) and a stroke so I thought now I need to be closer to God than ever to take care of her better. I have all standard translations, but nothing like these.
Ty though for mentioning that one has junky paper. Main point is Illustrations and don’t need bent pages lol. God bless.
Holy Land has great information, but I don’t care much for the translation. Premier Study Bible and Thompson chain have good archeology in them.

Hey pastor, I'm Jon from Las Vegas and I watch a whole lot of your videos. Everytime I have a theology inquiry I look on TH-cam and you've covered it. Although some of your insights are over my head I do enjoy your videos. I first found you by looking for bible reviews. I was wondering what do you do with all these Bibles you've reviewed? Do you keep them and if so how many study Bibles do you have? What's the fanciest bible you have if I may ask? I saw you can get a premium study Bible in alligator for a good chunk of change, that's pretty fancy lol. Also the silver one looks pretty fancy. I have the least expensive one and I like it.
Keep some, give some away. Not sure of fanciest, probably a Cambridge or Schuyler. Thanks for watching!

Gracias por la sugerencia; sin embargo, tengo un inconveniente, hoy que comencé a leer desde el Genesis, a la mejor conforme avance tengo más. El inconveniente es q en las notas hace aparecer como que Abraham aun después de conocer a Dios en el capítulo 12 del Genesis sigue siendo politeísta
I agree that the more I’ve read the Cultural Backgrounds, the less I agree with some of its conclusions.
