I remember renting this as a kid and not being able to figure out what the fuck I was supposed to do. Not sure if I was just too young, or it's the most unintuitive game ever, but I still remember how cool it felt to see megaman in 3d, and we haven't got any real 3d megaman still. Where's the "Megaman Prime" ? How cool would that be? Capcom are seriously dumb in their IP management.
i owned the game - not rented it - and can confirm the game is not clear sometimes about where it wants you to go / wants you to do. figured it out eventually but........
Yea I always used to get it after kicking the soda vending machine for some free soda, never knew what it meant when I was a kid but I liked how it looked so i did it using that method every time I played
There's a morality system in Legends. Morality doesn't affect much in Legends 1 except how certain NPCs talk to you -- until the optional Bank Mission. If you return the money you get a modest boost in morality. If you keep the money your morality drops to 0 and your armor turns black. Why? Because it turns out the Servbots did not steal the money. It was a loan they got to start a legitimate business; the burger stand that appears downtown only if you return the money. In Legends 2 morality affects the prices in shops (good = lowers / bad = higher) and whether you can get certain items.
64 was inferior. -The voice files were downsized so they could fit on the cartridge -The controls were set up for the PS1, so the N64 controls are less optimal -No CD samples in the music store -N64 credits song is just one of the town tunes, while the PSX credits song is unique -The clipping plane is much closer in 64, i.e. much more fog, much lower draw distance -N64 version slows down if there are too many objects on the screen So while only one of these things affects a TAS playthrough, the PSX version is superior for a normal playthrough.
I don't normally judge people for their opinions. I find it to be an insecure and self-destructive behavior that accomplishes nothing. But, if you don't think Mega Man Legends is the best Mega Man game ever made, and by a wide margin, there is something seriously wrong with you.
He had to issue the commands to the cpu. He created the route and programmed it. The computer is doing every action that the guy programmed. TAS's are supposed to show "perfect" or "ideal" runs, not necessarily, and in most cases, very likely not possible for humans to replicate. I did see a normal run in like 54 mins though.
This is the timeline in which Volnutt was secretly created to be a perfect murder machine, and yet they still give him a sense of sentience.
Played this as a kid and loved it, still do. It's like playing a 90's Mega Man anime, a good one.
Replayed it today, just finished buying/getting everything. When you see it all in a list, there isnt too much to do on kattleox island!
Still waiting for Capcom to get MegaMan down from the moon...
Still, the TAS was fun to watch!
They should make diagonal jumping an Olympic sport
"Huh? There's a fence... I'm going to ram it, MegaMan. Stand back!" MegaMan just doesn't give a shit
21:10 the shooting had me laughing
if only this was the Japanese version, then he could just kick the dog to save tronne bonne
Maaaaan old PS1 games are the best

Seems like we both enjoyed running around that market place lol with that song stuck in our head lmao. I felt the same way when playing this 🤣🤣

I never realized how derpy his jump looks in this game. :P
The shitty audio quality for voices is charming as fuck to me.

why his armor turn black after the bank robbery thing?
Sidnei de jesus It's an act of evil. Same if you manage to shoot down the News Aircraft during the City Hall mission.
Or if you kick the soda can behind the bakery counter too many times
Yea I always used to get it after kicking the soda vending machine for some free soda, never knew what it meant when I was a kid but I liked how it looked so i did it using that method every time I played

Why would I watch this in 1440p. This game is in very low definition.
It's even worse on the n64 port. The shining laser looks like it's solid v.v

So why Legends instead of 64?
Fura Takahashi || Because this is the PlayStation version :p
craftrod ...Yes? I'm asking why the PlayStation Version instead of the 64 version...
Fura Takahashi || Oh sorry, I thought you were asking why did they changed the game title XD
SORRY.
And, answering your question: I don't know.
PlayStation version has better draw distance, better sound, better framerate, and a more controllable auto-aim than the N64 version.
64 was inferior.
-The voice files were downsized so they could fit on the cartridge
-The controls were set up for the PS1, so the N64 controls are less optimal

Stupid Capcom made MegaMan move faster diagonally

A speedrun where all you do is record a cpu doing it all? Lame....

That's.... That's the idea.....
