    they should put markings on the station so that people are not standing in front of doors...like they do in other countries where they mark where people should stand

    Things move at a snails pace in NZ. It has taken 70 years that I know of to build the two lane Penlink Bridge to Whangaparaoa. The North Shore line just needs tracks and a harbour bridge.

    Well, we will have to wait and see how the railway in Auckland will change in the next several years

    1. hey guys what about the northern line why dont they focus on a building a good service when people need it, and it will certainly take cars off the road on state high way 1.(2) they should also focus on building the line to the Airport the land for track to be built is exists already its just sitting there for years to come with the rail on it... why buy land put not have rail built on...

      Daniel Eyre​ its ashame though the line is magnificent all the brides and tunnels more bigger Bridges and more longer tunnels ohh man whats gets better i seen it all on a high rail truck while doing repairs its just ow my, you dont see that in Auckland everyday... Trains to Waitakere was stopped earlier last year.. but the line to Hellensville was closed for commuter service due to not enough people using it but while working in kiwiwrail alot of people said that it was not the reason it was more to do with the times of the service running inaccurate which is why people were not using it. It pretty much was meant to be a fail from the start.

      Daniel Eyre They couldn't electrify the line anyways due to Waitakere tunnel.. and if we are talking not enough trains then thats a big Bul crap cause we got the silver fern ADK's and ADL's still left now including SX CARRIAGES. Sa carriages are gone now some sold to Africa my home land and some kept in Tarmanowe (lol i cant spell that haha).. They needed to better advertise the service and run them at good times thats what i gathered from people at KR.

      Daniel Eyre yea your on the right track.. plus they run 2 freights a day 125 going to Westfield from whangarei and 126 going up to whangarei.. Sunday freight going north from Westfield to Whangarei 120.. No reason your right ha. Where do you stay lol?
