Phil, Would you be able to help me out with some local knowledge? Can you tell me where you got in and out and what the levels were like on the day of this video? Id like to paddle the anger but only have a guide from Athersone to Tamworth. Id like to start in Nuneaton and paddle all the way through to Tamworth. Thanks
Hi, I live in Nuneaton, and have done all of my life. Okay, so if I were you to help locate this park i would use google maps etc. So, he entered the water in Riversley Park, if you go, you will first see a bridge, next to that bridge there is steps going down, dont worry, they are not steep. Thats where he entered. Not sure where he got out. I know this was 6 years ago, but if you havent done it yet, and are still up for it, there is you location.
@@abbierowley1387 you'd have to go under the 'Darkies' a tunnel which takes the river around 400 yards under the Railways sidings, after that it's plain sailing and in countryside. It's a pretty clean river, despite the rubbish in the town centre. In fact, one of the cleanest rivers in England (the River Sence) runs into the Anker at Atherstone/Pinwall. I would love to see the video
No, the Anker is way to long to keep clean. This man only kayaked through half of it, because you cant do it through Anker Mills, because it goes underground! Thats where all of the dirt comes from..
I can see they got in at Riversley Park and the clip finished at Asda in Nuneaton. No idea where they got out.
“Just popping into Debenhams... won’t be long...”

Does anyone look after the Anker, it always looks in such a state.
