  • Hrant Dink's last Interview in November 2006 in Glendale, California.
This was his only Television Interview In Los Angeles that year.
I remember exactly when we (my dear friend Lucy and I) took him back to LAX and had dinner and a amazing discussion about LIFE inside terminal 2.

By the way, thank you Stepan for the respect you showed him during the interview. I remember how people beat him up verbally before they chose to accept him as a martyr.

    To Our Knight Hrant Dink
    (1954 - gunned down 2007)
Who can kill such a peaceful human?
    To “Our Knight”, Hrant Dink
    Who had no sword
    Only fingers on pens
    That carved on many
    Khachkars

    Born a Martyr,

Armenians were always important part of Ottoman society, Many Armenians took important positions prospered under Ottoman rule. However collapse of ottoman empire paved the way for worst ethnic tensions which is not being understood other than being politicized. Armenian DNA is higher than Turkic DNA in current Turkish society. While many great armenians blended into Turkish society and advocate dialogue and peace like Hrat Dink. There are also horrible version of armenians like dictator recep tayyip erdogam who is from muslim armenian background. He is pushing limits to abolish secularism and create an islamic government.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kandilli Armenian Church in İstanbul, Dikran Kevorkian, has criticized the Armenian Diaspora, reiterating that the Turkish Nation, including the Turks of Armenian and Kurd ethnic origin, must all stand against the allegations of genocide. Saying “ How would the Diaspora find money if it weren’t the animosity accusations against Turks “ and added that most of those who attended Hrant Dink’s Funeral Procession 8 years ago and now the 8th Anniversary of his death did not even know Hrant Dink
“WE MUST STAND AGAINST GENOCIDE ALLEGATION“
that the whole Turkish Nation, including the Turks of Kurdish and Armenian origin, must stand against the genocide lies and labeled events that have taken place during the 8th Year Anniversary of Hrant Dink’s Death as ‘disgrace’.
" I REFUSE AND DENY THE GENOCIDE ALLEGATIONS “ Kevorkian said, at the live TV debate at the Ulusal Kanal Studios, İstanbul, while discussing the so called 1915 genocide allegations : “ I do not accept the fact that certain foreign powers define as genocide the 1915 events. We, as Turkish Nation, together with Turks of Armenian and Kurdish origin must stand against these allegations. How would the Diaspora find all that money without manipulating the animosity against Turks ?. The whole thing is totally economical move. They are sending all that money to Armenia. They are requesting land appropriations from
    Turkey. Why ? “.
“ THEY ARE EXPLOITING ( THE DEATH OF HRANT DINK )“ Remarking that he has found inadequate the counter activities and denials made in thiscountry against the so called genocide accusations, said “ I do not have an inferiority or minority complex in this country “ and continued by saying “ I have my church, I have my schools and my freedom of press and cultural activities. I would agree if they call it Big Tragedy but what would they gain if they call it genocide. How can an event which took place during the Ottoman period be associated with the Republic of Turkey ?. Should we also support the idea of Great Armenia at the Eastern Anatolia ? Everyone must know their own rights and limits ”. Criticizing the events that had taken place at the gathering of the 8th Anniversary of Hrant’s death as disgrace, he also lamented the things had been said in this meeting. Claiming that most of the people who attended the Anniversary did not even know Hrant Dink , he asked ; “ What percentage of them were Turks of Armenian origin ? . Hrant and the event of his death is being utilized as a tool. There is a provocation in this event and they are trying to associate it with the 1915 events as a latest link. This link refreshes the old bleeding wounds. It is nothing but an artificial resonation of people's minds and feelings. It is rudeness and disgrace, that is all it is.
THE SLOGAN “ WE ARE ALL ARMENIANS “ IS ACTUALLY MAKING US “ THE OTHERS “
He underlined his feelings that he did not approve the infamous slogan “ We are all
Armenians “ that was chanted so often at Hrant’s funeral procession and even now
during the Anniversary, saying “ it was a tool used to imply that we are ‘the others’ ”.
About one million people attended the funeral, the remaining 74 million are opposing since they are not Armenians. Can you imagine such an absurdity ? Two hours afterHrant was killed, everyone chanted “ We are all Armenians “. This is a subject that the Diaspora Armenians exploitation to satisfy their egos and to restore their financial resources. The tragedy was lived in 1915, that pain is now being exploited “, he concluded.

When a senior director of a prominent Armenian Orthodox church in Istanbul comes out and says there is no Armenian genocide that carries a weight because their congregation is Turkish Armenians who know their history better than those hit and ran Armenian diaspora like your forefathers. Yes, you are a killers child and your forefathers got away with their murders! Of course they will leave out that part and make a sad story out of their failure to carry out their greedy deed!
What the chairman is saying basically that you diaspora Armenians are duped into denying your mistake and keeping it alive by the Tashnaq Armenians because their sole source of income is your gullible contributions that support them. Pretty much a bunch of lazy ass people who has nothing else to do than bellowing the ashes of the past and keeping you guys on the string as if they are delivering something.
Assuming that you got your way and somehow duped every nation in the world that there has been a genocide 100 years ago, where does that leave you? You still have to perform a miracle to convince Turks to give you what you want which I am sure wont be more than a MIDDLE finger! Even if things come to the highest court in the world, there is a Gumru treaty signed by your Priminister Alexander Khadissian and our General Kazim Karabekir Pasha clearly settles any land claims forever. Following is an EXCERPT FROM YOUR OWN FIRST PRIMINISTER HOVHANNES KACHAZNOUNI'S MANIFESTO presented to Armenian congress in April 1923, read on:
"When on November 2, 1920, the armies of Kâzim Karabekir Pasha reached Gümrü (Alexandropol, now Leninakan), the Bureau-government presented its resignation. Simultaneously, within a few hours of each other, while one Dashnag delegation headed by the retiring Prime Minister was negotiating with the Soviets, another Dashnag delegation led by a former Prime Minister negotiated with the Turks It was decided that those who negotiated should be new men. A government under Simon Vratzian was formed.
Talks with the Turks led to the Treaty of Gümrü (9), signed on December 2, 1920. It states that the Turkish and the Armenian Governments, « for the purpose of putting an end to the hostilities and to find a basis of agreement, have sat down for an examination of the facts. » Kâzim Karabekir Pasha (Commander on the Eastern Front) on behalf of the Turks, and Alexander Khadissian (Prime Minister) on behalf of the Armenians, participated.
The discussions resulted in the following agreement : The state of war between Turkey and the Armenian Republic was to be ended. The frontier between Turkey and Armenia was established. The territories designated for Turkey were to remain as such « by irrefutable historical, ethnic and legal rights. » The two parties agreed to the return of refugees across the old boundaries, with the exception of those who, during the First World War, went over to the enemy’s army and those who crossed occupied territories and participated in massacres. Those claims of the refugees who do not return within one year after the ratification of the Treaty would not be heard. The two parties agreed « TO FORGO THEIR RIGHTS TO ASK FOR DAMAGES» They had thus CLOSED THE DOORS FOREVER FOR REPARATIONS. The cancellation of damages also included the great expenses of Turkey incurred during two years because of the urgency of the war it had to wage against Armenia. The Erevan Government declared the Treaty of Sèvres null and void. It promised to recall « delegations who have been tools in the hands of the imperialist countries » and to keep away from such men « who are after imperialist aims. » Armenia agreed to consider null and void all treaties signed by the Armenian Republic with any country that related to Turkey or were harmful to Turkish interests".
As you can see, you don't become a great nation overnight with your kind of hit and run chicken shit attitude. You may have ripped off your copy but we are hanging on to ours!
