A message from Catherine Cho, APP ambassador and Trustee 💜

“Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) has been chosen as one of the charities for the BBC Radio 4 charity appeal which will be led by the wonderful Laura Dockrill.
I have seen firsthand the work that APP does to give support to women and families - particularly by volunteers. I am so thankful to APP, the community I found there gave me hope.
Postpartum psychosis is a medical emergency, it is treatable, it can be a memory, something in your past. What is devastating to me is that not everyone is lucky enough to survive this or to believe that it can be a memory.
It was because of finding the APP website that my husband thought to give me a pen and notebook, he followed every guideline, he read every testimonial to help figure out a way to recovery. I remember every story and every person generous enough to share their story with me and reassure me that this would pass.
Thank you to the APP community and to my fellow survivors.”
