@@wyrmh0le Especially considering RoboGames is basically Original Sin's stomping grounds and won multiple championships by "just" pushing bots around.
The performance of Manta has been nothing short of formidable.
I just found it funny that they went weapon-to-weapon with a bunch of super scary bots like Jackpot and Triton (proving grounds) but it was a wedge that finally broke it.
@@bami2 To be fair, I think it was the same drum through all of those fights, so it probably was metal fatigue finally causing it to give out.
@@bami2I do wonder if Original Sin is starting to become outdated, currently it’s yet to make a deep run in either recent RoboGames. Dunno what would need changing, but the results are starting to no longer favor Original Sin.
@@codered9472 A good drivetrain with a solid wedge will probably never be outdated, but the groundgame hasn't stood still and everybody is running forks now so if two bots frontends collide, the bot with an active weapon will probably eek out an advantage.

@@UnpatternedGarbage it's the exact same reason drum spinners beat Endgame most times out of 10. It's a smaller circle spinning faster. And copperhead would have had an amazing chance against huge if they span like normal instead of down. Because it would have hit under huge's balde and not into the blade. So basically they would have hit huge instead of huge hitting them. They would have literally popped huge into the air. But it's ok. I understand what they where thinking.
@@zeroinfinity5864 Seems like you're cherry-picking a bit. Riptide fought Copperhead too, and had no problem popping it into the air. If its weapon hadn't broken, it probably would have pummeled Copperhead just as hard as all the other bots it faced in Season 7.

in my opinion, manta at battlebots will be the new bite force, not just robot games

I’m hoping to see you guys fight Minotaur and Riptide in the future, give those two a good run for their money!
Currently only two or three robots can stand up to Manta, which is why in my opinion he has a very good chance of win battlebots.
It's very good, I'd say certainly top 8 material, but I don't think it's taken on any of the real big hitters at the top of the Battlebots totem pole yet.
Not saying Manta doesn't have a chance still, but the likes of Minotaur, Witch Doctor and Sawblaze are real tests for any bot these days.
