Sarah’s paint job was very intricate, detailed, and time-consuming. It’s lovely. I would have added a bit of that detail to the portion next to the mirror. Beautiful work!

I hate seeing antiques being destroyed. I would have taken thecabinet exactly as it was.

Whoever gets Sarah to do the makeover is making huge profit. That dresser didn't cost 10$, that was the paint cost only, Sara's job would have had costed so much more if another artist did it so she is really putting her work into someone else's profits.
Sarah's ideal on the victorian peice was a good , but her ideal to remove the trim, cornis, and doors were a bad ideal. It was nice, but one could tell parts were missing. It would have been much better to just cleaned it and sold to antique dealer for a couple of hundred.
I feel bad for that cabinet😢
I hope this is an old show because that bench would sell for a lot more in the states
Yes, Norman did a great job. He deserved more than 90 quid.
I wish Sarah had chosen the leather. then she could do less damage. Though she would never have had the skills to create what Antony achieved. Full marks to Antony.
Seeing Sarah choose the Victorian furniture filled me with dread. And I wish that Jay could return to this show - he respects the items and does some lovely work. I will add more after I see what Sarah inflicts on the piece. . . . . . and yes now I have viewed the outcome from Sarah's solution.
I now feel so very sorry for Cynthia and Mike. It was a tragic "renovation" imo. Sarah could have created something else with the carved doors that she discarded. Despite her painting - as far as everything else I found her "solution"?? horrible.
Please bring back Jay.

It hurt my heart to see Sarah break down that beautiful cabinet.
I just can't believe these owners dont sell many of the pieces before taking to the recycled plant.

I am in USA and thought we accumulate a lot; however, after seeing the Thrifters and repurposing shows all over the world itbreaks my heart to see how people everywhere just throw perfectly good . Furniture . away.
to see all the dishes broken had me tearing up.
Many newer homes in the UK are far smaller than their predecessors of the 1900s and the larger scale furniture from that period will not fit into the smaller rooms. That Victorian cabinet would have been difficult to sell as a result of its size, exaggerated ornamentation and dark, heavy wood.
How does Sarah make any money.
They are all brilliant
