Burgundy is such a fine color. The '66 Fury was quite good in its day. The options were endless. It did cost you a hunk of money if you dared to go the distance. 426 hemi gave it power and a half.
God this old 66 Fury is 58 years old now and the body of this car is still there, for when they made this car, they though a way the key and I still know that many of you will never see a car like this in this shape again. For she is a prize to be had and that is for sure. So just go on the internet and be surprised of what you may find.
Great looking Mopar .Nice interior. Engine sound/looks solid. Just needs some go fast parts. Undercarriage looks great. Heck, what's not to love with this old girl? Had a '65 Sport Fury convertible. in HS. Had the 361 CI engine. Was a wild ride. Fond memories.

The Sport Fury is an awesome car, and this one is super clean. I love the buckets with console and awesome chrome factory shifter. This would no doubt be a great cruiser
Nice old 66 Fury brother. I believe that the mountains here in the Pacific Northwest ( Oregon ) hold things we haven’t found yet, many tracks and Howls, gibberish spoken in the woods, tree knock’s. Absolutely beautiful country. BELIEVE BROTHER 👍🏼
Blower motor may work .. the button that says off is pushed in. You have to push another button before adjusting speed or hot cold feature.
Beautiful. My first car in 1973 was a 1967 Fury III four door. It was a good car for a young Army family man. It had A/C that was great in San Antonio, Texas. I would love to have this big block Sport Fury. But alas I'm retired now and my toy collecting days are over.
Go fast the 440 and a Dana 60 and this would be a force to be reckoned with. This is a really nice car for the money.

Joseph2711: I doubt that all car collectors are aware as to how expensive antique and hi-perf. cars are in choice condition. I own 2 '70 'Cudas. Both 440/390,4 speed. One is #s matching,original paint 35,000 miles. The other has a correct replacement 440/390,4 speed.repaint original color. It is a pretty decent car. The first one would sell well at Mecum. The second one would not.
@@tedlawrence4189 You have iconic cars of American history. At 19 back in the early 80's I found myself in a '71 Challenger R/T w/440. Car was famous in the car seen in Philadelphia.

My first car! Only had a 318 polysphere in it though but.. was able to learn alot about stuff from this car! I can tell you one thing if you ever want to buy one, get one with ALL the trim, i got lucky(mine was fully equipped), but over the years, i know people who didnt! There was a Fury 1,2,3,Sport Fury,AND a V.I.P. . Pretty much, ALL the trim/taillights is different and GOOD luck finding any of it, let alone the SPECIFIC right one ! Absolute nightmare i understand.. Most models of the "same car" that i can recall in ages n ages of doing older cars. Another "Fun fact" this car will also teach you about reverse lug nuts! Just one side though to keep it fun! LOL

Beautiful car. Had one - original 440 4 spd. manual steering and brakes...hard core. Yes Ty you are the lucky dog with it now. We are looking for a hood ornament for it. The ornament is not the same as a 65 or 67 or any other model than a Fury. Despite common incorrect knowledge almost nothing on a 66 is the same as a 65 except chassis. Suppliers list most body and interior parts for 66 and 65 as same so you have to be careful when buying parts. And of course reman for 66 is scarce.

When you mashed the accelerator to the floor in drive at around 35 mph there was no kick down on the tourqueflite transmission to down shift to second gear and the 440 should be smoking the back tires. Is there no kick down connection on the car? Perhaps both engine and transmission are kinda tired.

Overall rating on this fury is 8.8. Very clean straight car . I think the trim in the trunk is for the rear windshield ! This car won't last .
Nice looking sport fury don't see many the oil pan is low have to watch speed bumps needs a few tweaks but should run strong
Also not having that kick down adjusted properly can damage transmission..... that's one very nice Sport Fury , we had the 4 door model when I was growing up
Believe it or not, MY GRANDMOTHER had one of these back in the late '60s. It was a '65 though, very similar. Fury III. Copper bronze, with black interior. I believe it had a 383 in it, but not sure I was very young. Boy, we used to LOVE going out for Ice Cream in that car, let me tell you!!!
New game for you all, "will this one knock the camera over?" Sorry, just had to do that. This car may also have telescopic steering column as well. The part in the middle of the wheel that has those "fins" on it I think you turn that collar to unlock the telescopic column. Something to try.
It's got a aftermarket kick down cable and I bet it's not adjusted right , original was a steel rod and it didn't get out of adjustment once set ........

I was thinking the same thing. 3200 stall and set the timing at about 38 BTDC. Watch out!
