@@frogger960 the thing is duel are always over in very few turn, unless youre back to 2001 yugioh the game is always decided with very few card and is done by turn 5 if not less, people are looking at old yugioh with pink tinted glass because they dont know how to play back then and so they think the game last for a while.

That just reminds me of the manhwa and light novel series Life at Magic Academy. The MC's classmate and friend Gainando does just that. They have a trading card series based on various mages of the series and Gainando used to pack his deck with the strong cards without the stuff that can make them work so he eventually went the "evil" deck that burns the opponents deck with curses to win lol. Series is definitely worth a read btw.

Would be an Easy fix, by forcing it that you can only Syncro summon once per turn. You know, like how you can only special summon once, normal summon once, and tribute summon once. Why can Syncro bypass the Summon per turn limit? This is why Yugioh failed as a game, after the main series died and they started all this extra bullshit stuff.

It probably started at Cyber Dragon and just kept going and now you have 1 turn duels and the entire bar of life points is no longer enough to get you past 1 turn where originally your life points were designed so that the game would last a certain amount of time. Another huge game breaker is how long a single turn lasts. The entire game rolled up in a single turn. Some tabletop board games also make this mistake and its a big criticism, having too much time pass before your turn.

I remember when I first played yugioh master duel, I decided to play a ranked match with the dragon starter deck (this was my first EVER duel in master duel keep in mind), and I faced this opponent who I could tell had been playing for a while by his profile picture. He won the coin flip and went first, then decided to spend like 15 mins I think summoning monsters until there was no hope of me winning. (Yes I know I could’ve just surrendered, but this was my first ever duel and I wanted to see what happened. That was a mistake.)

You can use up your whole deck in Round 1, it's a wonder Sykkuno didn't draw all his cards and was only stopped by the monster limit on the field. Now imagine if he had addionally monster which could be summoned in the Spell/Trap Area. You could pretty much lose your game by doing so much in one turn, that you could potentially run out of time. It's just insane.
The fact that you can commonly lose a match in the card game without being able to have a turn is not balanced at all… people just okay this game now get that rush of superiority of “I won the coin flip, watch me destroy you” and it’s dumb and boring.

In the first episode the hero is loosing by a lot, but get the only card that can make him win at the last moment (even if staticaly speaking in was almost impossible). Then everyone treat him as an amazing player, even if he should have lost and he only got very lucky... So yeah, YGO was always based on luck.
This "game" ended in two turns, 1 player was able to summon a 7 star 2500 ATK monster in the first turn while the other one had 6 monster cards with ATKs of 4000, 2500, and 2400 by the of the turn with one of them able to attack more than once and Konami expects us to keep playing 😂😭
