One of the best climaxes of any song ever: 'And now we are one, in everlasting peace'
i agree
has anybody actually used it as ending music for a film i wonder
@@SirJosephSanchez Yes, the song it was written for, Romeo + Juliet (1996). Plays during the credits.
@@beesknees4352 also black mirror "shut up and dance" episode
@@poolhousetheband also a k drama but I forget which one
How is this chord progression even a reality? So freakin perfect.
That's Chopin for you!
@@qiguai185 no it isn't, only the first 2 chords are and even those are an extremely common classical chord progression.
Credit goes to thom yorke, not chopin
Can someone explain the chord progression to me?
@@gabrielferrari7909
Bm F# D/A
E/G# Em/G (only 2 beats on each E chord)
Bm F# Bsus B
Repeat
Breathe section
Am Amsus Am E/G#
Bmsus (9/8) Bm Bmsus (9/8) Bm/D (4 beats)
F#sus (don't resolve)
Repeat but at F#sus play 2 beats them add an E on top (F# sus 7) for two beats then resolve to F# major
Back to verse
If you aren't familiar with sus (suspension) it means play the 4 of the chord instead of the 3, for example, at the end of the first phrase, Bsus is B, E. F#, and then the E resolves down to D# for an B major chord.
For a 9/8 suspension, you can think of it as a 2 resolving to 3 so you will be alternating between C# and D for the middle note of the Bm chord.
If you aren't familiar with slashes in chord symbols the first letter is the chord and the letter after the slash is the note you play in the bass. So D/A means a regular D chord, but play an A for the bottom note.
Cheers!

"There's such a chill" as the lyrics say. Absolutely haunting song and awesome cover
Liked it before watching because I knew it was going to be amazing. I wasn't disappointed
same here! haha
Glad you enjoyed it. Any requests?
Josh Cohen School of Music Id like to see a cover of all I need!
+Josh Cohen School of Music Go Slowly or Last Flowers would be amazing if you could do those :)

My God this is haunting. Excellent playing sir.
Thanks very much, Zach. Glad you enjoyed it! 😃
this is my favorite song from radiohead. I just LOVE your cover. I'll probably learn this piece from you.
Awesome. Let me know how you get on! 😀
Josh, I must have watched this performance 100 times by now. I love all of your covers, but this one in particular absolutely captured me. I bought the sheets off of Faber Music and this is the first song I've learned after a three year hiatus from the piano. Thank you!
Most welcome x
I've loved this song since it came out in 1997 .. it always amazed me, how it every single time touched me so deeply. I'm glad to see that a lot of people now are enjoying this too, because it was in some show :)
It's a great track. Thanks for watching Danni. All the best, Josh :-)
That sounds when he his the low key, that sound from the behind. 💆🏻♂️
You my friend, are one very talented person; one of the best covers from one of the best songs from one of the best albums from one of the best bands ever. Good job bro!
You my friend, are one very kind person; one of the best comments on one of the best songs from one of the best albums from one of the best bands ever. Thanks again!
"It will gonna be alright, Teddy. The world doesn't belongs to them... belongs to us."
I've been listening to this for years and @4:27 i just heard one lonely stab of a synth string, can't unhear it now
Im finally making progress on the sheet music book. 6 months ago I couldn’t read sheet music at all but I’ve finally gotten to a level I feel somewhat able to work on the Radiohead book. This is the first song I’m learning and it’s been coming together well
Glad to hear it!
I love radiohead, and i'm 22 now, i intended to learn piano from beggining this year, so i think your book will help me fill my interest on piano and radiohead. go make it dude.. it's amazing cover..
Thanks so much, Sujiro. Glad you enjoyed the cover! 😄
How are you in piano, I'm 23 and thinking of starting myself :)
curious to know where are you now after 2 years

You're the best, Josh. Thank you.
Most welcome x
not even embarrassed to say me eyes are abit damp after hearing 3:19 onwards- that's not to say the entire thing wasn't incredible
Awesome to hear that it had that reaction 😀
Good shit man. Listen to this damn near every night
This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for all of the Radiohead covers.

Thanks very much, Oliver. Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the way you play the piano... In some way, you bring me peace with your music.
I'm glad it has that effect on you. Thanks for watching! JC
Affect not effect
+Zachary Smith Nope.
I just can’t stop listening to this! Just outstanding! Better than that even! Have RH heard this? Absolute respect
Keep coming back for another listen. These renditions are amazing
I love how it starts like you're learning piano and ends like you're Beethoven
Like Chopin
Strongly disagree. Ending like Beethoven wtf. If you want to hear a cover with feel listen to "heavypiano"
Completely addicted to your covers in general. Love the ones of Radiohead so much and this one in particular. Thank you for the 5 minutes of pure bliss ! If you ever come to Paris to play I will be there to hear you live ! Hopefully soon 🤞
Yep, I'd love to play a Paris show in 2021. We'll see how everything pans out ✌️
I love this song... I've played about 100 times (really) already. :)
Awesome, glad you're enjoying it! :-)
got goosebumps. simply perfect.
This might be my favorite Radiohead cover ever. Gorgeous rendition and timing in Westworld too.
Marvelous
I'm addicted to this rendition.
Nice one, thanks for watching. Josh :-)
Maybe the best interpretation and understanding of the song..this guy play for the song , not to show everyone how well he play piano...that makes all the difference.well done bro.
One of my very favourite Radiohead songs
It's a good one. Thanks for watching! JC
C'est tout simplement ma chanson préférée, je la trouve magnifique et ton interprétation l'est tout autant !

Wake.. from your sleep
The drying of your tears
Today we escape, we escape
Pack.. and get dressed
Before your father hears us
Before all hell breaks loose
Breathe, keep breathing
Don't lose your nerve
Breathe, keep breathing
I can't do this alone
Sing.. us a song
A song to keep us warm
There's such a chill, such a chill
You can laugh
A spineless laugh
We hope your rules and wisdom choke you
Now we are one in everlasting peace
We hope that you choke, that you choke
We hope that you choke, that you choke
We hope that you choke, that you choke
