I truly don't know how they come up with this stuff. Some of these team overalls are just straight foolishness, but Madden gonna Madden.

They arent the actual ratings. First they are from the LVIII super bowl ratings from February so thats why some of them are questionable. Secondly the rookie ratings have not been released. If they were released some of the veteran players would have their ratings probably changed
So this is what I was trying to find, and I think you're right, but I have read multiple articles saying these are the ratings for 25 so idk 100% either way. Pinning your comment so that others who watch at least have some context!

The panthers improved in the off-season and this 80 ovr kind of sort of makes sense

My question to you becomes do you understand how much categories are weighted and how much those could affect overall if you argument is oh Carolina shouldn’t be whatever overall because it’s Carolina. It’s not a great argument, but if you understand how the waiting system works for the individual ratings and how you might get to, somebody you would consider shitty an 80 because of the effects of certain categories
