Although at the same time it's implied that Kraftwerk kicked him out and he left some hidden messages that support this. There's a song from one of Fernando Abrantes' albums and the main lyrics explain about how Kraftwerk wanted him to be ("No movement, no dancing, no smiling, no creating... Fernando is a robot"). The very ending of the track involves a phone call that Fernando receives, and after taking the call, a voice from the other side says *"Fernando, we do not need you any longer"* , implying that Fernando got fired via phone call.
