It's actually insane how bad the bot problem is in HS. I played full stop 11 games in a row yesterday of either blizzard bots or user made unholy DK bots
I won't lie, it's kinda nice when I'm just trying to complete quests in Casual. But for anyone who actually plays Casual I'd imagine it ruins the mode.
I think its overall more fair for everyone, but yeah you lose that dopamine rush of the old buckets. Also having to hyper focus on a set few expansions instead of just running good cards for you strat feels bad, especially for f2p players who used their dust to craft a few specific decks that then got bent over backwards by the new bucket system. I feel like duels is less "hope you get the nuts and high roll out of your gourd" and is more solved so to speak. There's a more clear cut meta which is attractive to some but maybe not to others
Ironically even if you're in a Plague Death Knight Mirror Match you can easily defuse the Frost Plagues your opponent made you draw by using the 8,5 reborn since the discount still continues to be counted going past 0. Ps that minion + Knomish Army Knife can be one terrifying Lethal out. Especially with the Y'sera Dream Passive. As for the weapon overabundance you could either run the 1 cost spell from core set that draws you a weapon from deck or try the 4 cost minion from Festival of Legends to draw you 3 cards by discarding the weapon.
The Blizzard bots are just ruining HS ladder now. The worst is that you will not get a real player, until you suffer through the bot. So tilting when trying out some janky counter deck, and every time you lose you get a cope-bot to help you win again. It's meaningless and I'd go win against the Innkeeper if I wanted to do PvE.

Ngl i stopped playing duels and hs altogether when they changed the bucket layouts.
Same, the gamemode just doesn’t feel the same with expansion buckets instead of archetype buckets

Ya the current system is literally shit to put nicely
It just looks so stupidly unfun, over a year later and it's almost unchanged despite the new cards, no balancing at all
