There's more to the Lions success than Ben Johnson. The GM Brad Holms has built an amazing roster. And then there's the amazing roster. The roster is soo good any coordinator would be successful to a level. Ben Johnson takes it over the top. And the culture from the front office through Dan Campbell is the foundation. with that foundation, the Lions will always be a decent above average team. sounds like you make a back handed compliment

@@MindOfMurdock When Eberflus broke out with a new shave and beautician, Bears fans were 'Man-Twerking' in the streets because that was the key to winning the Super Bowl. I agree that's a stupid way to only see the Bears. The Lions fans who know hear way too much stupidity as well. The Lions have 3 times more than any team that only dissects opposing teams' defense. That's Dan Campbell. The Lions have two employees who shadow Ben Johnson at every move. They're so good that if Ben Johnson farts, they can tell you how many pepper flakes he ate two days ago. That's Dan Campbell. The Lions have an unknown number of nerds on their payroll, and three of them are the NFL's version of Elon Musk and Steve Jobs in the making. That's Dan Campbell. Dan Campbell constructed 80% of the Lions' offense. As far as DC Aaron Glenn is concerned, the Lions can get Robert Saleh. He grew up 12 miles from the Lions stadium to Eberflus, who learned he can't be an HC.
As a Lions fan, Swift didn't do shit his entire time in Detroit, which is why we signed D-mo and drafted Gibbs, then traded Swift to the Eagles on his final year of his rookie year! He had a breakout season with the Eagles, but that's because he had the best O-line in front of him, and he finally stayed healthy for the entire season! I'm starting to think it's suspicious that Swift didn't want to play in Detroit, and pretended to be injured. It's crazy that he missed 3 games in every single season in Detroit, but then he played every game with Philly and Chicago!
“Ben Johnson is Detroit” is a crazy statement. Ben Johnson was on the staff during Matt Patricia’s tenure. How was Detroit doing then? Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell are Detroit.
I am afraid they have ruined Caleb. He has picked up so many bad habits that he didn't have when he was drafted and now he is actually behind the rookies that are out there. Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix have passed him by. The Bears NEED A LOT. They need someone to be able to take control and get Caleb back to his basics (he holds the ball too long, doesn't trust his OL, does NOT SEE his shutdown or read his progressions very well, and under pressure he forces the ball downfield) and able to improve on some of the basics. His footwork is horrible and yet it can all be salvaged with the right HC (Not just an OC). You have to trade players to build a team. They need a HC that has HC experience and a great OC. I am not sure that any coach in Detroit would make it in Chicago right now (Other than Dan). That organization needs 2-3 years to reload, draft, trade, and restructure.
We all praise Ben Johnson for what he has done with a horrible franchise, It's crazy how you see the negative from that lol He should leave, given that he's just an OC and needs a shot to make any teamwork that's looking for a head coach just like your DC. It's okay to start hating on the fact that this may really be the last year you have a good team before losing staff to better-paying opportunities. Be happy for your OC! He could also stay like I said but only time will tell...
@MindOfMurdock What I will say is when we lose our coordinators I think our organization will be just fine with promoting one of our assistants to the coordinator position and keeping the ball rolling so to speak and keeping the team good. Dan Campbell is training his coordinators and other coaches in his staff to be head coaches in their future, and his coordinators are training positional coaches how to be coordinators, and Campbell has assistant coaches to all the positional coaches. I think the Lions will lose Glenn to a head coaching position this season, but I think Ben Johnson may spurn all head coaching opportunities and stay as the OC for us 1 more year if he doesn't like any of the head coaching opportunities this year. Ben Johnson actually loves being in Detroit he wants to be a head coach, but he's not going to just take any head coaching opportunity. He has stated that most head coaches never make it past 3 years and he wants to find the right fit and organization, and wants to set himself up to get a 2nd contract as a head coach.
