What a great consolation to have our God of consolation, whose presence consoles the loved ones of Fr. Bob and Fr. Mark in their pain of loss. Fr. Chris, thank you for offering this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for their fathers where we devoutly join and ardently pray with deep respect and gratitude. Thanks also to the Marian family who always actively participate in supporting and helping the spiritual wellbeing of everyone. In this, we see and feel the true power of unity, peace, love and joy. In following Jesus, we can surmount any challenges of sadness and grief, trials and tribulations because he walks with us till the last moment of our lives.

The Catholic Church is the Church of Christ because there was no other Christian Church for 1,5000 years.... only the Catholic Church existed. Do you think that Jesus would come to earth and start a Church, which he did i Matt 16:18, but then he would say, "I'm going to start a Church but I am going to get it wrong for 1500 years until Martin Luther comes and gets it right...." That doesn't seem to make sense. From the first century we have writings of Christians celebrating the Mass, the veneration of Mary and the saints, confession, prayers for the dead and belief in Purgatory. Those devotions were totally practiced by all early Christians. What does that sound like? Yes, only the Catholic Church. God bless and prayers for you.
