My dad had a cf 7000 thought cabover great for hauling in the woods with. Made in Brazil. Only reason he got rid of it is there almost impossible to get parts for.his was a 87 Tough truck it was. High and low range splitter to. The next truck he got didn't have that.

I kind of figured I could change out to something different any part I can't find. Or make my own via 3D printing or metal fabrication. I've got a mill & lathe ... and probably will be picking up welding soon.
She's got her problems, but one at a time, I'm going through and taking care of them. Losing 4th in the transmission is a touch annoying tho...

I just bought one of these trucks. What is the shift pattern for this truck? I can’t find much info. Is it a 4 speed with high low in each gear? Is it a 5 speed? Please help.

@@LifeWideOpenYT it is on back of left visor. 5 speed R left and forward
      I go 2L 2H 3L 3H 4L 5L 5H
4H is higher than 5L. But my 4th gear doesn't work

@@iflifewaseasy what is your normal rpm for going around 55mph? Mine is around 2700

@@LifeWideOpenYT the tachometer doesn't work. 🤷 When I go 55 or more, I vary speed based on temperature gauge: over 59 and temp goes up on flat land. I vary speed on hills to keep needle near "A" of normal
