After all these years she still has that classic Vickie Winans tone that we know and love! Vintage Vickie was absolutely nothing to be bothered with!!! That voice, range and timbre could ring like a freight train!!! We love Vickie!

WHEW! Young Vickie was absolutely nothing to play with. SANGING the people under the pews. She isn't as celebrated as she should be.
My favorite song by Vickie is "Coming Again" she sang lead on a Ron Winans Family and Friends. It shows the full range of her voice .....my girl!!!

@@Jay2k2323 sopranos come in all sounds- not all sound like Pattie by far.
@@Jay2k2323 Patti is not a Dramatic Soprano, shes a bright Soprano with a developed technique that makes her instrument sound bigger projection wise than most pop singers. Actual Dramatic Sopranos have way more depth and darkness, almost Mezzo like timbre and middle range but with more upper range. And Dramatic Mezzos sound borderline Contralto which definitely isn't Vickies voice. Vickie called herself a Soprano btw and I'm not sure where you hear the "low tessitura"

This lady is a soprano. Nothing mezzo about her voice at all😂 yes she has great lows but that’s not what determines your vocal type. Plenty of sopranos have great lows but they aren’t mezzos because of it😂.
Vickie Winans has ALWAYS been credited as being a mezzo soprano. Please understand that just because YOU say something, does NOT make it fact. It is merely an opinion. And a foolish one at that. Do your research before you make irrelevant statements. And I’m a HUGE Vickie Winans fan just as I am of the Clark Sisters. You don’t wanna challenge me. I can provide receipts and back up things I say, unlike you.
@@marrbaby1 sir well let the challenges begin…cause vickie winans in this present time is a mezzo but in her prime and in the 90s and 80s was a pure soprano, sang soprano 1 in the choir and everything and I do research on this and go to school for this. I know what I’m talking about. And like I said y’all say any sopranos with great lows are mezzos and that’s now how it works lol at all. Her voice was placed very high and her voice didn’t start darkening till later years
@@marrbaby1 and also just because someone credits somebody as a mezzo soprano doesn’t mean anything. Most of these people who are “classifying” don’t study this and go by what they see on TH-cam.
