a) is perfect compensation hypothesis graph because it demonstrates the ability of ectotherms to maintain a relatively constant metabolic rate despite changes in environmental temperature.graph shows curve which increases with increse in temperature
b) is thermodynamic hypothesis graph which shows that the heat flux is constant at different environmental temperatures.this graph shows flat line.
