  • Lavenders planted, garden cat visited, and how's the crocheted shawl? 4/17/2024
    Hey guys!
Today's video begins with planting the wilted lavender plants that I rescued from Sprouts last week. They were on a clearance Easter sale and I had grabbed the sad-looking plants for 50 cents each! In the early morning when I was planting them, my garden cat Jack came to visit. She's a sweetie!
I also share with you an update on the half hexagon shawl (with Lion Brand Yarns Re-Spun Thick & Quick yarn) that I'm working on for my girlfriend Susan. I've finished two skeins and think all I need is one more to finish it. I've got extra just in case though!

    Jack is always helping lol
    The shawl is looking great!
You know, I always had the purple heart growing a ton, but not here. In here it remains in one spot only and has not spread.... maybe the type of soil, maybe not having lots of rain....? Who knows. I hope yours grows just the way you want! 😊

I had two purple hearts. As you've seen, the one is doing great. The other ... not so much. I divided it and replanted in the fall, but it's not getting enough (if any?) sun. Don't know until you try!
