There was nothing done to plan for the line of cars that was anticipated prior to this restaurant being built. A part of McDonald's line for their drive thru is on their property, where as Chick-fil-A has their order taking location at the edge of their driveway.

Perhaps Chick-fil-A needs to improve their business model, as they aren't serving their customers quick/fast enough. McDonald's used to have a contest years ago where if customers didn't get their orders quick/fast enough, they would get something free. The line is backing up because they aren't turning over the orders at an expedited rate...time to 'pick-it-up'! After all, nobody likes slow service...it's called FAST FOOD!

The problem isn't chik fil a's proficiency or the location, its 3 uncontrollable elements: their length history, their rarity of the product, and the consumer's stupidity. The last one is the main problem.

Drive around like a normal person, until you can fit in the drive through! No consideration for anyone else on the roads... that's no Aloha. Or park somewhere and walk yourself there! Absolutely do not block the HWY.!
LOVE IT! "they are not showing aloha" NO! They are showing diabetes and why most folks are broke. Too lazy to walk into a place fer lunch? Soooooo mainland
The problem is, THIS location only allows drive thru...no parking, no walk in service...it is CRAZY and IDIOTIC to think THIS was a good idra for this (or any Hawaii) location, imho.
And a new one is coming to wakiki. It's gonna be a mess. It's an American problem. Drive thru is not quick anymore. They need more parking and less people use the drive thru.
I live on the mainland now, and in many cities the chick fil-a might be the busiest restaurant. But compared to local food in Hawaii all I can think is, “WHY? You live Hawaii!” Oh, I forgot, they have Polynesian sauce. 😂
This is not a problem specific to Chick Fil-a; it is a specific problem to Oahu’s infrastructure. State and local governments have failed to address the problem all over the island. My perspective, as to the failure to address the problem, that the failure is a result of corruption is evidenced by the rail.
Nighttime must be a NIGHTMARE!! I guess no one bothered to foresee problems before it was built. Of course, money has a huge influence in decisions. No one seems to care about the quality of life and the safety of neighborhoods. That is a safety hazard.
Demo it! This company encountered the same opposition when North Carolina regulators ordered another of its stores to be torn down. So...C-F-A was too pake to invest/buy/lease space to accommodate its biz.
There are several areas with the same problem. WILSON ELEMENTARY causes this every day after school since they changed pick up rules during covid. Why are they still doing that?
00:43 People who don't know how to merge properly are the #1 creators of traffic on O'ahu; I can't count how many times I've driven through traffic only for it to open up for literally no better reason - not even construction or traffic accidents cause as much hassle. People who slam on the brakes and don't pay attention to traffic several cars ahead of themselves is the #2 reason for traffic; slamming on the brakes causes a domino effect that results in traffic in the back slowing down to a crawl, made worse when everyone stares only at the bumper in front of them and/or are constantly dodging through traffic lanes. People who don't know not to block intersections and driveways during heavy traffic is also a major problem in addition to selfish derps who take advantage of the extra space to cut in line. Law Enforcement seriously needs to expand their Traffic Safety division and position officers in dangerous areas; Americans don't seem to make the connection that they're wielding deadly weapons in their luxury 1.5 ton metallic battering rams. ~50+ pedestrians die on O'ahu every year, and the statistic is apparently increasing. Never mind about gun laws, we need to worry about selfish idiots behind the wheel.
What also causes traffic problems are people going to that Chinese restaurant (Dew Drop Inn) on the corner of Pensacola & Beretania & illegally parking on the street, blocking the flow of people trying to get to the condo or Chick-Fil-A on the right hand lane. HPD needs to start ticketing those jerks!
How can the business make changes? They are very popular. The City shouldn't have approved that location in the first place. Sorry, but it's not Chick-Fil-A's fault
ASUCCESSFUL BUSINESS is labeled "A PROBLEM" in Hawaii! This explains A LOT about Democrat FAILED BUSINESS POLICIES that have kept it no. 1 on FORBES list of WORST STATE FOR ECONOMIC PROSPERITY.

The sign said "Do Not Block Driveway" 1:47. Put a police officer there citing any blockers.
Chik Fil-a should get fined. They want to avoid the fine, put an employee near the roadway to make sure the condo driveway is not blocked.

Making a stretch of the right lane into a ' bus lane' helps.
