Yeah, I agree John Walker. This young feller really has done an excellent job of this. He gets straight to the point, tells you each point clearly. Thanks to his expert delivery, I have FINALLY got my go pro set up how I want it. Thanks heaps Rayzor Studios. you are a legend.
I just got my Hero 4 silver last week, couldn't find a tutorial on all the basic functions. You're the best. Throughly detail for beginners like me. Ace!
Thanks Youngster, us old folks are all pretty ignorant when it comes to this techy stuff. I learned a lot here and I am now subscribed. I'll be watching for anything new.
Thanks so much for your informative tutorial. I have learned more from you than any other tutorials that I could find. I especially like your presentation. You seem to genuinely enjoy teaching and that comes thru to your videos. Unlike a number of videos, you are not trying to impress the listener that you are more intelligent than anyone else. Also, your accent is very charming. I'm 79 years old and just got my gopro 4 and I have some great ideas for its use. Best of luck, Les
Great video pal , only used my hero 4 silver about 4 times from new , never learnt how to use it , this video has made me get it out the draw and practice ready for my holiday in 5 weeks
appreciate this so much. I just won one on ebay for $18. The catch is that the rear screen doesn't work, so i'm happy to see that I can access these settings.
hi thanks so much for the tutorial...excellent I just purchased a GP4 and this has helped me very much as I am a newbie to Gopros....cheers much appreciated...(Gold Coast Qld)
Thank you very much for your video and for going into detail about the settings and the why’s. I had to buy a GoProH4B because this is the only camera that works with an underwater/wind buffing microphone. Your video is exactly what I was looking for!
I really appreciate your video on the Hero 4 settings. I was struggling with the menu navigation trying to find the settings I needed to do an 8 month time lapse of a construction project, starting tomorrow. The AH - HA part of your video provided me with the 30 minute shot interval I need between image captures
Excellent video but I had to go to another help video to figure out that the side button gets you into the screen that allows you to change your video settings. Suggest you start off your video with 1) Turn camera on, press the power button 2) Click side bottom buttton on left hand of Gorpro once to get to settings page 3) Now you can change the settings. It sounds obvious but I missed it and I have been in this hobby a long time.
Great video,,i been using the camera for at least 2 years,,,i just hit record and go and thats it.,but very very helpful and well put together video...
Us aussies know how to make no bullshit straight to the point videos,of which yours is one of these. Thanks for showing this old non tech bloke how to use this thing.Cheers.
Wow, great video, thanks my friend. I've only just bought my first Gopro, a Hero 4 and thanks to your video I now know what all the settings I will ever need are. I did buy a cheap Chinese Gopro lookalike, but although the video and timelapse quality is ok, it does suffer a lot with burnt out skies. So not really recommended if you want the sky in shot. Good for a basic dashcam for evidence though. But I know the Gopro are far more superior to that.
Hi Ray.Another great tutorial. I have a Hero 4 silver. And I'm doing some timelapse of plants growing on the window cill in my kitchen. We have just watched a week's worth of videos. It's so good!!! But I can see the whole kitchen. I have tried to narrow the FOV down to 'N'. But when I start off filming again. It's gone back to 'W' FOV. Why is this happening? Could you explain how to set it up So it stays on 'N' FOV, please. Thanks from the UK. Dave.
what were your settings while recording the last selfie video? What are the best settings for a bicycle ride, or a hiking in a mountains, without fear of video being choppy?
thanks a lot, can you explain my problem, my gopro hero 4 black takes many short about 3 to 4 minutes videos all the time, what settings is wrong in my gopro, or is all my memory cards broken? Or i am stupid and can not find right settings. Please answer asap.
Do you have a video showing how you scale your 4K footage down to 1080p? I am guessing you will still need tons of hard drive space when your bringing in 4K footage to be converted to 1080p right?
Hey I just have a few questions. I don't edit my video's I will just be using them and putting short clips on instagram and such. As well with photos. I have the gopro hero 3 black edition what settings should I use. Should I have protune on or off. Thanks.
Samson Scholten Hey man, seeing as you dont intend on colour correcting your footage I would shoot with protune on but leave the colour profile to GoPro Colour. Then shoot in 1080p at the highest frame rate possible (sorry I cant remember what this is for the hero 3 black hah). Then you should be good to go!
Hi any idea... My hero4 battery has low life in video recording...it takes only 10 minutes for continue recording before its going to deadbatt...please help..
on my camera i do not have the setting you have. When i choose "video" it doesnt go to the "mode" list etc but straight to the setting to record vids - and those settings are not in the "settings" option - how do i get the settings up that youre seeing? tks - update: i found it - you have to press the little button on the side to get to the page to change video settings when in video mode
+Nathan Petts I think if you're shooting with 4K or 2.7K or even 1440p, once you're edited your clip, when you export the clip, you can choose on what you want to export it. I'm new to this GoPro myself, just bought a Hero 4 Silver. :)
hey man hopefully you see this cause when ever I upload my videos to my laptop the video is faster than the sound or the sound is faster than the video how can I fix it without editing it in laptop?
Samson Scholten If you dont plan on editing the photos later in photoshop or lightroom then yes, but if you plan to edit them more shoot with the colour profile on flat :)
Hey I've got the hero 4 silver...and there is no way it can shoot 1080 at 120frames...it only goes up to 60 frames.....so how come you got to change it to 120?
wow,a video that doesn't waste 20 min showing you how to take it out of a box, this is great info
Yeah, I agree John Walker. This young feller really has done an excellent job of this. He gets straight to the point, tells you each point clearly. Thanks to his expert delivery, I have FINALLY got my go pro set up how I want it.

the color of the sky at the end is incredible! looks so unpolluted which is good
Great video pal , only used my hero 4 silver about 4 times from new , never learnt how to use it , this video has made me get it out the draw and practice ready for my holiday in 5 weeks
Thanks, this is the best beginners guide I've found so far. Really appreciate you taking the time to make this video
Great tutorial....Just purchased the GP4-Silver. Thanks for the tutorial on how to setup the basics.
appreciate this so much. I just won one on ebay for $18. The catch is that the rear screen doesn't work, so i'm happy to see that I can access these settings.
At last someone who can explain things on the GP4B without waffeling on and on thanks a lot bud
Wow Great job. I'll be watching this a few more times. Thanks

Great job young man. Filmed a band's full program with Hero4 Silver. What's the best way to divide off each individual musical number?
Well done Aussie 😎👍🏻🇦🇺🏅🏅🏅

This was a big help! I recently shot a video and it recorded in a fast motion. Can I slow this down? I think it was on video laps on 60 fpm?

Do you have a video showing how you scale your 4K footage down to 1080p? I am guessing you will still need tons of hard drive space when your bringing in 4K footage to be converted to 1080p right?

Hi, Can you inform me how can i get continuous filming on my go pro hero 4 black? It breaks every 17 minuets at the moment. Cheers
thanks man!
I noticed in your video that the low light setting was on in the video mode. Do you normally just leave this setting in the on position?
Thank you
My GP4 Black isn't recording sound. Is there a setting to turn on the sound recording?
does the gopro hero 4 have to be fish eye, or can you make it linear?
Hey I just have a few questions. I don't edit my video's I will just be using them and putting short clips on instagram and such. As well with photos. I have the gopro hero 3 black edition what settings should I use. Should I have protune on or off. Thanks.

just a quick question how do you downsize the file to 1080p? I have movie maker and gopro studio can i do it on one of them?
+Nathan Petts I think if you're shooting with 4K or 2.7K or even 1440p, once you're edited your clip, when you export the clip, you can choose on what you want to export it. I'm new to this GoPro myself, just bought a Hero 4 Silver. :)
Thans men. Sending my full suport
Nice vid
Hopefully I will be getting a basic hero for Christmas. Sadly I wont be able to use these settings but hopefully I wont rely on them too much! xD
Henry Lucas The base hero is still quite good. You should be able to use some of my color correcting and other tutorials that I release later.
How do I open the side door on the camera next to the camera lens?
THANKS!
hey man hopefully you see this cause when ever I upload my videos to my laptop the video is faster than the sound or the sound is faster than the video how can I fix it without editing it in laptop?
So shoot with protune on but gopro colour for photos too?
Samson Scholten If you dont plan on editing the photos later in photoshop or lightroom then yes, but if you plan to edit them more shoot with the colour profile on flat :)

How can i keep the go pro to keep looping instead of having to wipe the sd card clean when its full?
the person you refered too in your video how do i get to his blogs?
Great vid even though u posted this a very long time go
Hey I've got the hero 4 silver...and there is no way it can shoot 1080 at 120frames...it only goes up to 60 frames.....so how come you got to change it to 120?
the gopro hero 4 SILVER can't shoot 1080p 120fps. It's only the gopro hero 4 BLACK that can do it.
This video helped a lot units bought a hero 4 silver and the footage looks like shit ( a lot of grain) this has helped so much. :)
+Max Aldous Glad I could help! Dont worry your footage will slowly get better over time, just keep practicing!
I cant seem to get the sunny light out of the pic what am I doing wrong, which setting lowers the sun light
thanks
+arif kukaj You may need to do some colour correction to change the exposure. If you film directly into sunlight you will get this no matter what.
hi my friend how can i do it perfect photo?
How do open the bottom door?
