I know right? I've been a fan for 15 years. I just recently started dating someone so I was looking up love songs by Brandi Carlile and this one popped up. It is now our song. The song is just like butter and 1000 more good things. I love it so much.
I seriously love this musician like I haven't loved any musician(s) since Radiohead. For the first time in 20 years there's an artist whose tracks I can put on repeat and jjust listen for hours. I discovered her only about a year before the big Grammy wins but it's crazy, and a terrible shame, that she wasn't a huge star and household name long before that. She is an awesome singer-songwriter/musician who managed to hook up with two other awesome singer-songwriter/musicians in Phil and Tim and keep the band together for two decades now. I don't know whether to be happy for them or sad for the state of the music industry that it took such amazing talent so long to win a couple of Grammys and break into "the mainstream" (i.e., get what was owed). I look at the some of the Grammy winners in the last decade or two and it makes me want to cry: there's not a single Taylor Swift song that is actually good, is what I'm saying, and I've tried listening to damn near all of them to see what I was missing out on. If Brandi & the Twins (should be their new band name) had come around in the '60s folk movement or '70s singer-songwriter era they would be legends. Rotten luck they came about in the era of "beats & tits = mainstream success and critical acclaim."
Well, I was in the same country. ;-) I downloaded a stream with RealPlayer (I don't think they archive, so I had to get it during a web rebroadcast). When I transferred it to an mpeg format, it was badly out of sync, so I edited it and synced it up as best I could.
Where has this song been hiding? Just when I think I've heard all the best from amazing Brandi, she blows me away again.

Big smile on face. My wife askes what I’m listening to. I say Baby Brandi. She pats me on the back understanding.

VoxyLady Music I agree...but I do believe she’ll end up a legend. I said it in 2006..
Legend. I've loved her for 15 years!
Well, she did finally write that love song: “I belong to you” for Catherine (her wife). Those two are about as adorable as a couple can get.
Man, I miss those days. This’ll be vintage one day.
"thoughts of you can give me smile lines" - yes they do Brandi :)
She makes it look so simple; awesome lyrics too..
ICON IN THE MAKING 💜💜🔥🔥
This was finally released on her new EP! So happy to get it and can't wait to see her in Dallas, March 8
