Thanks for sharing this process, It was helpful for replacing the glass. The only place I could find replacement glass was on aliexpress. One issue I had was with the adhesive. For me the replacement glass was not truly waterproof and was letting in small amounts of water under the glass when used underwater. I came up with a DIY fix though using RTV silicone caulking to reseal it, in replacement of the provided adhesive strip. I used VERY small amount of silicone by piping it around the edge where the glass goes. To do this I squeezed some silicone into a plastic bag and punctured a pinhole at the tip of the bag, then used it to squeeze a tiny bead all the way around. After letting it dry for a day or so, it is now completely waterproof and much better than the adhesive strip provided.
I couldn't find them on gopros site. I also read that they dont do repairs because the cost of parts labor and shipping would just worth it to get a new camera. Thanks for the input joe

after changing the lense is it water proof because i dont want to pay for a new gopro
As long as you glue it very well. I would recommend getting a waterproof case on amazon. They're pretty cheap.

The price you have for the new lens seems steep. Must be name brand compared to others on the market.
Ours are the ones straight from GoPro.
