I really appreciate how thorough you get with your unboxing. It was great to see the ink pad and pen swatches. Your reactions are great and really enjoyable to watch. It really heightens my enthusiasm for when my box arrives. This one is definitely for me. Excited!
Thank you so much! I really do my best to serve you guys so you know what you'd be getting! and I'm so glad we all get to have fun in the process, it's such a blessing!
I used to “collect” their journals but realize now that they are amazing for memory keeping and scrapbooking- really enjoying them now. Thanks for all of your ideas, Elizabeth!
You pronounced cerulean correctly. Always reminds me of The Devil Wears Prada. I love the hole punch. You could punch a smaller sheet of paper, put it in a journal and color the flowers for cute accents. Excited to get my box.
I give some of them away as gifts! I also have multiple journals going at once (normal journaling, sketching, junk journaling) & fill 1-2 journals per year.
Love these comments so far, and agree! I also share some ideas in my black friday haul video! I use these notebooks for everything! When I call them “journals” I feel closed in, so maybe thinking of them as notebooks may open up ideas too!
JashiiCorrin (here on TH-cam) has more than one playlist with videos for ideas on what to use notebooks for. She also has some videos categorized by notebook size and even some videos with layouts specifically for notebooks of different sizes. She's mostly a bullet journaler, but she has some great ideas for things like reading journals, gaming, etc.
This is the best one I've seen. They have definitely gotten much better with each issue. In my opinion, they used to be sort of lackluster and unimpressive. I think their buyer or stockist needs some kudos for stepping up. The designs and quality have always been top-notch in the stationery department, so now there's a plethora of options. This is a good thing! Thanks for sharing.
I agree, I feel like the last several boxes have been so great. They changed up the boxes after receiving feedback that people wanted at least 2 journals in a box and since then they’ve been on point!
I absolutely love my 8x8 Art journal. It’s the perfect size for all of the fun. 😊 I do Art journal spreads in it every Friday 😊 that one you got is stunnnnnnnning
Every single thing is amazing! I haven't subscribed because I usually don't like mystery boxes, but the last few of these have me convinced about A&O's boxes. Thanks for sharing!
What's cool about how they do it, is you can see enough items (3-4) to get a sense for whether you'd like it, and cancel it before it bills! But I'll keep subscribing to this one because the value is always there!
The 8x8 is gonna be my new knitting journal. I'm excited, but can we talk about that stamp pad?!! I've been using stamps for nearly 30 years. I've avoided buying similar pads in the past, not wanting to add to my already extensive "collection". But I'll admit the stamp pad has got me excited to mix things up a bit.
@@thejoyfulsojourn My knitting journal is a record of projects. Each project has a page (a lot like a reading journal) where I can rate the pattern, note the level of difficulty, make any notes or changes made to the pattern (usually with an explanation of the change and why it was made); add a picture; note if the item was a gift and who it was gifted to, when it was gifted and the purpose for the gift; log start and finish dates; where the pattern came from, [book, magazine, etc. (link to the pattern - usually in the form of a QR code - if I got it on the internet)]; yarn label, and yarn sample. I had thought to log my yarn stash in the same journal, but I'm considering doing a separate journal for that - a lot like your stamp journal - with a picture, yarn sample, and label (or a picture of the label if I only have one skein of that particular yarn); when and where it was purchased and for how much; brand and colorway, etc. I've been keeping a lot of this information digitally on a website called Ravelry.com, but I think it would be nice to have a physical log of all this information. It's something I can pass on to my children or grandchildren and a great use for notebooks I've been saving for a special purpose.
I was so proud of myself because for the first time ever I didn’t peek. I waited till my box came and looked at it before I watched the video. And I had to watch the video because I love your videos. And I have to say I loved everything in it except - When I saw the paper punch I was so excited because I assumed it was a corner rounder. I have a corner rounder, but I don’t have an A&O corner rounder. I would’ve loved to have had that. Thanks for the great video Elizabeth as always you do an excellent job reviewing their products. I love love love the stamp pad ink colors. Those will be fun to play with
Wow Pat that is some self control!! Thanks for coming back and watching anyways! The punch is interesting because it kind of IS a corner rounder…you just get an extra image too. I’ll have to think of some ways to get regular use out of it, as I wouldn’t always want that center image.
Great job sharing this subscription box! I enjoy watching your previews of new products! I love how detailed you are! Thank you for all that you do! Wishing you, your family, and fellow subscribers a beautiful day!
The crosstitch/ knit journal would be a great place to put photos/ document needlework projects over the years! Also goes beautifully with quilting patterns, can you say Pennsylvania Dutch or Scandinavian
I absolutely love this box!! Usually there is something in any sub box that I don’t care for but not this one!!! I can’t wait to touch those leather stickers and try an 8x8 notebook. Super excited for the bookmark. Thanks for trying the inks and punch because I was wondering about those 2 items and how they would work.

Okay!!!! Can’t wait to watch and will once I receive mine which should be Friday I think. Question: my Caliographs dry out very quickly, like within 6 months if not sooner. So while I love the brush pens…I just can’t use them quickly enough. Do you or anyone have the same issue? Could it be my climate?
Hi thank you for your response….i think I stored them right side up but since they’re dual-tipped I figured that would be okay. However the last few weeks I’ve been storing flat as I reorganized that area of my supplies 🥰
I thought they were phasing out the acrylographs and just going to the calliographs? Or have I got that completely wrong. It's very pretty but not worth the $50+ shipping to the UK.
I realise this is splitting hairs but I am in the UK, expecting my box next week and shipping was $35. This is still a lot, I know, but not $50+. I have stepped back from buying from them in the past because of shipping costs, though. My Black Friday order of three notebooks cost $64 to ship and I swallowed that because I really wanted them but a few days ago I cancelled another item at checkout because the postage was as much as the item.
Eeek I’m sorry shipping is so costly! I don’t know what I’d do if the price to ship was so close to the price of the product 😭 wish I could help! Also, I hadn’t heard that about the acrylographs, where did you hear that? I’ll ask around!
Hi! Just wanted to follow up on the acrylograph comment! A&O are still releasing both Acrylographs and Calliographs with their seasonal collections so I do not believe they are phasing either of these out 👍🏽
I had to make the adult decision about this box and cancel my subscription. I would buy the a5 book in a heartbeat if I could buy only that. But since I don’t really need the other notebook and the other things, even though they’re pretty, I can’t afford the shipping cost to Sweden for any box that I don’t 100% love everything about.
Sounds like you made the right decision for you! I totally get the pain of shipping costs and if there's one item you wanted. Maybe you'll be able to find it second hand!
