I've just graduated in Linguistics, and I'll be starting a MA in Language Technology next month. It's so difficult to find reliable information about computational linguistics online, and it's hard to stay motivated when you don't know anyone that can tell you more about the job... Thank you so, so much for making this video. Subscribed! ✅
I needed this video so baaad❤ Currently thinking about changing my profession of a translator to computer linguistics, so this was a gem to find💫thank you!
A question that comes to my mind having linguistic background how get a job of in computer science section? What kind of job that was? What was those technical thing you learnt.please we wa't to learn all those from step.by step
I'm from an humanistic area (history) If I were you, I'd learn morphology, syntax, phonetic and phonology and pragmatic. What I should learn from Computer science? 😀
@@Mariana_-du9ql Thanks for your answer. You should learn programming logic, Object-Oriented programming, Algorithm Data Structure, all in python or JavaScript (They're very easy to learn).
so you finished your bachelors, and found a job in ai without ai knowledge. how did you do that? you also continuously bring up how computational linguists don't need to know a lot about machine learning and ai, but what about programming? from what you're saying you're making it sound a lot easier than it might be.
This video has got nothing to do with reality. Our Nastya would NEVER get a job in computational linguistics without a second major in IT. Which she's probably completed, but does not say a word about it, making a big BS for you to believe in.

Hi,
Did you find enough information?
I needed this video so baaad❤
Currently thinking about changing my profession of a translator to computer linguistics, so this was a gem to find💫thank you!
So glad it was helpful!
I'm also thinking of transitioning! However I'm just a final translation student haha, currently learning some basic programming to prep myself
You and I are on the same boat. I want to do Masters in something that combines language and technology
wonderful nastya . keep up the good work
Hi, hope you are doing well. Thanks for the video. It was perfect ❤❤❤
Thanks for this informative video . Did you have to learn maths to become a computational linguist like calculus , probability or linear algebra ?
Very useful information, thanks a lot
I have BA in TESOL and I just wanna know whether I can continue my education in MS computational linguists??? 🧐🧐🤔

Is it applicable to use computational linguistics in productive skills assessment?
I want to apply for a school in UK to do computational linguistics but I’m finding it difficult…any help here?

@@ar_sky_blue thank you!
Can I be a computational linguist with a bachelors in psychology and one in statistics?
Forget it.
I guess no
Only one question: Have you ever tried to use AI apps to speak with your dog? Some kind of Rephrasing your words into dog's language?
never tried 😀
